Wonder Girls in Malaysia on July 31

 Live in Malaysia: Wonder Girls will perform in Malaysia 
at the MTV World Stage!

Great news for all Wonderfuls! MTV Asia has confirmed that the Wonder Girls will perform at the MTV World Stage 2010 Live in Malaysia, one of the most anticipated event of the year. This is the 2nd time Malaysia hosts the MTV World Stage. The 1st was back in 2009.

Wonder Girls debuted in 2006 with their song Irony and became one of the biggest idol group in Korea with Tell Me. They became a household name in the US, Malaysia and other Asian countries after their hit single Nobody was released.

In May 2010, the quintet released their new single, 2 Different Tears (2DT) after spending the whole of 2009 doing activities in the US. Among other things, the girls opened for the Jonas Brothers and Justin Bieber. On June 4, the girls kicked off their US tour where they will perform in 24 states.

The MTV World Stage will be held on July 31 at the Sunway Lagoon Resort Surf Beach. Other artists that will be performing are local act Bunkface as well as Tokio Hotel and Katy Perry. However, we want Nobody but the Wonder Girls! :)

Starlet Park Shin Hye is making news again, as she’s recently freed herself from long absence by appearing at a Garden5 event… looking a bit chubbier than usual.

Koreans can frankly be quite overly-sensitive when it comes down to weight on celebrities, but this time, I can’t help but to agree on this one. Judging from chubbier cheeks and broader arms, Park Shin Hye definitely seems to have gained a bit of weight. She still looks outright adorable though.

Clazziquai member Horan is becoming a hot issue with new pictures being spread over the internet, and this isn’t the only time jaws have dropped.

She’s back with a pictorial for newly redesigned lingerie from a brand called LEFEE. Horan said, “Because Summer has approached quickly, the concept was to show off a lot, especially with the bra. I was also trying to show off a romantic yet mysterious side through the photoshoot.”

Netizens said, “I want to look like her, she shows a lot of passion,” “From music to acting, Horan can do it all!,” and “Each pictorial had such a unique theme.”

[News] Tohoshinki’s Yuchun Drama Debut! Be Entranced By The Narcissistic Prince

Yuchun, from Tohoshinki, which has paused all activities, had his Japanese drama debut! This was "Beautiful Love ~Kimi ga ireba~,"a BeeTV drama released on 4th of June. He challenges his first acting role sincerely, acting passionately as a prince that makes girls' hearts beat faster.

Yuchun plays the role of the heir of the Korean conglomerate Taido Group, Yonsu. Determined to fight for his own place in life, he meet's Hinata (Aya Oomasa,) an aspiring novelist and the plot unfolds into a Cinderella love story.

Yonsu, as the title of heir suggests, is selfish and egotistical. With a narcissistic aura, in his eyes, he is above everyone else. But he hates everything about Japan. When he first meets Hinata, he says "Japan is rotten!" and later when she asks for the reason why, he cuts her off, telling her "Never ask that!"Although he is rather tyrannical, he is actually a really kind-hearted youth inside. When Hinata was depressed, he encourages her and tells her to "cheer up,"and shows concern when her mother falls, asking "Are you okay?"

This hot-and-cold attitude of Yonsu's is acted out beautifully by Yuchun. As the heir, when he's alone, the way his expressions change is mesmerizing. Whether it's assertive, or naïve, or the fragile prince-like image, he manages to charm all the women. Still, Yuchun was desperately practicing his Japanese, putting the other Japanese boys to shame. It's hard to believe to that he has no acting experience, as he was very natural.

While being a singer, Yuchun has also embarked on acting activities. It can be said that the first attempt in Japan has done well. Like a dream come true for Japanese women, please enjoy the princely style of Yuchun.

Wonder Girls to perform at MTV World Stage Live in Malaysia 2010

For Wonderfuls in Malaysia, get ready this July for the Wonder Girls will be headed your way for a performance!

It was revealed on the 16th that the Wonder Girls will be performing at the Sunway Lagoon Resort on July 31st for the MTV World Stage Live in Malaysia.

This will be the second year that this concert is being organized and the Wonder Girls are the first Korean artist to be invited.

Besides the Wonder Girls, other confirmed acts include Katy Perry, Tokio Hotel and Bunkface, and we expect more to be revealed in the coming days.

The 2 hours long concert expected to attract crowds of up to 15,000 will be edited into a 60 minute program for broadcast in 154 countries through MTV to 550 million viewers. Korea is expected to show the concert through MTV in September.

The Wonder Girls are currently in Singapore for Sony Ericsson promotions and a showcase which will happen on June 18th at Marina Bay Sands.

SBS E! TV’s Chef’s Kiss is garnering a lot of attention and currently stands #1 in terms of views.

In Chef’s Kiss, U-Kiss’s Eli and Kevin work together as a team, and throughout the show the two boys overly care and talk to one another using love-filled messages – leaving the other members downright dazed. You might wonder why. Well, Eli and Kevin’s bromance gets as close to the level of watching an episode of We Got Married.

Meanwhile on the recent episode, U-Kiss visited a grocery market to purchase ingredients. The market workers showed their loving interests towards Dongho, and in turn, the other members displayed their wide array of dancing and singing skills to also get noticed by the workers. Later that day, U-Kiss caught a 60 kg (about 132 pounds) tuna and personally sliced the meat into bite size strips.

SNSD’s YoonA to MC the upcoming World Cup festival

SNSD’s YoonA will be taking a special role tomorrow as she’ll be an MC for the World Cup festival on the 17th.

Alongside YoonA will be comedian Kim Yongman and SBS announcer Yoon Hyun Jin.

The festival is being held specifically for the upcoming South Korea vs Argentina World Cup match and has a hefty list of artists attending such as Cho PD, Super Junior, f(x), SNSD, MBLAQ, ZE:A, and more as they cheer the nation on.

The first festival held for South Korea’s World Cup opening game against Greece was MC-ed by Lee Hyori and Kim Yongman back on the 12th.

T-ara’s cute member Jiyeon and pretty talent Go Ah Sung has showed their good friendship once again.

On the 15th, Jiyeon uploaded a picture she took with Go Ah Sung while they watched the 3D movie How To Train Your Dragon. The two showed cute teen sides of themselves as they were seen wearing the 3D glasses and making poses to create a beautiful memory.

The two celebrities became close friends while filming the popular KBS drama God of Study. Jiyeon commented about the picture, “Picture with my best friend after long time no see! U-Kiss’s Soo Hyun to make a musical debut!

U-Kiss’s Soo Hyun will be making his musical debut by participating in a popular broadway act called A Chorus Line.

This adaption will be both directed and choreographed by talented Baayork Lee, who made his own debut at the age of 5!

With this show soaring into success on release in the 1970’s, it focuses on a story about hopes, dreams, and frustrations in trying to become a famous dancer.

An audition was held, to which Soo Hyun was able to show off his amazing dancing and singing skills in front of the judges and earned himself a role named Mark.

The publisher stated, “Mark is the youngest dancer and also a bit naive. The character has many emotions throughout the show that is sure to attract the audience, and with such a popular idol taking up the role, Mark will surely win the audience over.”

The broadway show will be open to the public starting  on June 26th and will run until August 22nd at the COEX Artium in southern Seoul.

Crown J worked alongside American hiphop singer Young Dro in the making of the music video for Crown J’s I’m Good. Young Dro first debuted in 2001 with I Got That Dro, which led up to later releases of Best Thang Smokin (2006) and P.O.L.O. - Players Only Live Once (2009).

Crown J uploaded a new clip onto his online Crown J TV of making of the music video, the behind story, and of him chilling and working with famous artists, such as Young Dro, J. Holiday, and a few others.

His company revealed, “Through Crown J TV, Crown J aspires to take part in overseas activities and to promote culture.”

It has been awhile when we’ve last heard from him, but it’s good to see that he is keeping himself busy.

[News] C.N BLUE to rock out for first concert in Korea on July 31

Rock band CNBLUE is set to hold their first concert in Korea in late July, according to their agency FNC music on Wednesday. 

FNC announced in a press release that the Korean group will take to the stage of the AX Hall located in Gwangjang-dong on July 31 for their concert titled "Listen to the CNBLUE."

The concert will feature live performances by the group with rearranged songs of their Korean and Japanese tracks as well as other individual talents. 

A representative from FNC explained, "The members of CNBLUE are determined to put on the best concert for their fans and are diligently preparing for the upcoming event." 

CNBLUE released two singles in Japan before breaking into the local music scene with their mini-album titled "Bluetory." The group had received much attention ahead of its debut with leader and main vocalist Jung Yong-hwa gaining popularity through SBS TV series "Minamishineyo".

Most recently, they returned to the music stage with their second mini-album "BLUE LOVE," which was released in June 19, featuring title track "LOVE." 

Tickets for their concert will be available for members of their fan club first on June 18 and open for official purchasing on online reservation site Interpark on June 28.

Girl group Secret member Sunhwa has revealed her diet of her daily calorie intake recently.

During an interview, the singer stated her diet plan of consuming 1400 calories per day.

Her daily eating plan would consist of a salad, a roll of kimbap, two bowls of cereal and 200 ml of milk. Like most celebrities, Sunhwa is also most concerned about her weight during the summer season, as she said, “I have to wear a lot revealing clothes for the summer so I am worried. SS501 member Kim Hyun Joong could not stop laughing at Super Junior HeeChul's humor.


SS501 appeared in last SBS Radio Power FM 'Kim Heechul Young Street', has offered a witty joke which to take pride to make the listeners laugh.


When to the time SS501 songs and ads on air, DJ Heechul made a joke which made a big laugh out of the group members.  In particular Kim Hyun Joong, whose did not prepare spirit and the features of laughing was put in to the photograph, opened to the public.


Kim Hyun Joong who is convulsed with laughter could not stop laughing fell from a chair, it seemed like he was even laughing to faint.  This situation continued after the broadcast begin that he could not stop laughing and with the members who are broadcasting had to fall from a distance.

Girl Group, 2NE1, members, Park Bom and Sandara Park's recent baseball game appearance became a hot issue.

Last June 13th, the Lotte Giants VS Hanhwa Eagles went against each other at a baseball game held at the Sajik Baseball Stadium, in Busan. In the event, Sandara Park showed her pitching skills as she donned the Lotte Giants uniform and stood at the pitcher's mound.

Any fan of k-pop music is no stranger to big name labels like SM Entertainment and JYP.

But out of all these companies, the most unique and unconventional group is arguably YG Entertainment.

What with all these big name comebacks popping out of the blue, here’s a little recap of what’s in store.

We kicked off the new year with Big Bang member Daesung releasing his cute and bubbly solo single Cotton Candy. Soon after, girl group 2NE1 also released a single titled Try To Follow Me. After a 2 year long hiatus, YG’s killer R&B vocalist Gummy released her Loveless album.

YG has always been a bit unorthodox and big daddy Yang Hyun Suk is known for slapping fans in the face with a surprise. Within the past two days, a lot of heavy news has hit the k-pop scene regarding the YG family members.

First off, a promotional poster and music video teaser was released out of the blue regarding T.O.P’s solo single Turn It Up. Many fans were surprised and busy pissing their undies after watching this 27 second trailer. We thought that was it but YG is the gift that just keeps on giving.

Not too long ago, it was revealed that Taeyang would finally be releasing his first full length album titled SOLAR. With a whopping tracklist of 13, it looks like Taeyang will be heating up the summer. Starting from June 25th, for six days, a minute sample will be released of a new track everyday as it leads up to his July 1st album release.

Last but not definitely not least, we have one of k-pop’s original megastars Se7en. When k-pop began picking up momentum a few years ago, this man was one of the few who pioneered in a global audience. Anyone who loves k-pop has probably heard his breakout song Passion. Yoo JaeSeok returns to the variety show scene on SBS after 6 months.
After leaving the show SBS Family Outing in January, coming July, Yoo JaeSeok will be appearing in a new variety show on SBS. It seems that he will return to the show down of the weekend variety show kings with Kang HoDong and Lee KyungKyu.
There are plans for stars like Kim JongKook and Haha to appear as fixed appearances on the show, and also Lee Hyori will be doing guest appearance on the first episode.

Is it the Jay Effect? BOB's duet track hits #1 on real time charts

2PM's former member Jaebum has reached #1 on real time charts for his featuring in pop star BOB's 'Nothin On You' the minute the song was released. 

The song was released on the afternoon of the 15th and reached #1 on Cyworld's real time charts within an hour of release, proving the Jay Effect. 

Jay Effect is a term used by American internet broadcast StirfryTV to describe Jaebum's Youtube videos hitting over 7 million views within a month along with over 5 million hits on his channel. It has also recently become his official fanclub name. 

Warner Music Group Asia stated that they were surprised by the results after observing the reactions the first day and gave unending compliments towards the two young artists involved in the collaboration. 

Jaebum wrote a thank you note through his Twitter along with notification of its release and uploaded a new Travie McCoy cover on Youtube.

Brown Eyed Girls and Cho PD recently collaborated for a song called La La Land. It seems like they got pretty close since Narsha has been talking all about how she’s jealous of Cho PD’s white skin.

Cho PD’s company CEO mentioned that many female celebrities always are complimenting Cho PD’s skin. His nice skin is a big mystery since he is known to smoke and drink a lot. Cho PD said, “I get skin treatment but I don’t do anything special. I do have skin problems sometimes.”

Super Junior’s Heechul has his own celebrity line-up

Super Junior’s Heechul is known to be quite an outgoing and hilarious guy so it’s no surprise that he has so many friends, enough to form a celebrity line-up.

His main buddies consist of the following big name stars: Epik High’s Mithra Jin, F.T.Island’s Hongki and Jonghoon, Supreme Team’s Simon D and Jang Geun Suk. This list does go on but those are his known besties.

The cool thing is to see the variety of friends he has. He has young idols, rappers and actors as his closest pals.
