Psy and Hyuna Music Video?

Posted: 05 Jul 2012 11:02 AM PDT

Apparently so…

Psy will try to make another comeback and the question is…

Who cares?

I lost some love for the guy ever since his army dodging scandals…

I will still watch it though. I can’t get enough of Hyuna’s legs.

Kpop is Trending in Malaysia

Posted: 04 Jul 2012 06:31 AM PDT

So I was reading the news and have now learned that kpop is becoming quite popular in Malaysia.

I don’t see why not… Kpop is catchy. For example, I don’t live in an Asian country… Nor am I Asian. If kpop made its way onto my iPhone… It can definitely make its way to a country that is just around the corner from South Korea.

The Korean Wave continues…

Leeteuk of Super Junior announces he will be joining the military next year

Posted: 04 Sep 2011 05:08 PM PDT

After bidding farewell to Heechul as he parted ways to join the army last week, it looks like Super Junior will once again need to brace for yet another member departure, as Leeteuk announced his plans to enlist in the South Korean army.

In an interview following the successful 'SM TOWN Live in Tokyo Special Edition' concert, Leeteuk revealed that he will be enlisting next year. "I plan to enter the military next year," he said, jokingly adding that "I'm saying this so I don't get hateful comments such as 'Just go to the army'."

"The Tokyo Dome was a dream stage for me," he revealed. "It was always my wish to stand on it before I left for the army."

He also spoke about his performance at the Tokyo concert and how it affected him personally. "I felt happy seeing the fans go crazy over the final ending performance, where we sang "Light", a song personally composed by our senior Kangta."

It is sad to see them part ways, but I have much respect for those who want to serve their country. I wish much safety for Leeteuk in the future, as well as for Heechul and the other artists who have left for the military. Good luck!

G-Dragon set for comeback next month!

Posted: 04 Sep 2011 04:57 PM PDT

This is it everyone, the wait is finally over! G-Dragon has announced he is set with release of his solo comeback next month.

The Big Bang member is scheduled to reveal his mini album and start his solo activities in October for the first time in nearly two years.

It was revealed that G-Dragon is currently working on last-minute items for his songs and will select his title song soon, in addition to envisioning his album concept. A YG Entertainment representative stated, "Because we are still writing songs for his album, we haven't decided on his title song. When we are done, we will decide on the album concept."

Many agencies are reportedly reconsidering other artists' comeback dates that were set for October as G-Dragon is expected to overpower music charts with his solo comeback. One music industry stated, "From September, KARA, SNSD, and Brown Eyed Girls are planned to comeback. In addition to that, it's hard to find a place for rookie singers with G-Dragon coming back on October."

Although I can say that his latest music wasn’t a huge success, I am looking forward to what he has in store for us! I certainly hope he will redeem his career and come back with his biggest hit yet as a solo artist!

Arashi holds amazing live concert for 70,000 fans during a storm

Posted: 03 Sep 2011 11:51 PM PDT

On September 3rd, popular band Arashi held a concert at the National Stadium in Tokyo amidst violent rain and strong winds.

For the opening performance, the members had planned to fly on wires approximately 50 meters high. However, this was inevitably cancelled out of consideration for the members' safety. Consequently, the boys appeared from underneath the stage in front of 70,000 fans, who were waiting in raincoats.

This was their fourth year in a row performing at the National Stadium. This year, due to typhoon number 12, their concert on September 2nd was postponed to the 4th. Member Sho Sakurai showed concern for their fans saying, "Not everyone could come to the postponed performance. It is very unfortunate."

On the 3rd, a typhoon landed in the Shikoku and Chugoku regions, and strong winds even reached Tokyo. As a result of a delay in stage preparations, Arashi wasn't able to hold a proper rehearsal, and so they hit the stage without a solid practice. There were possibilities for cancellation due to the weather, but the boys decided to fight the storm since there are only two performances in Tokyo, and this will be their last concerts of the year. Aiba Masaki even made a 'teru teru bozu' (paper doll to pray for good weather), and prayed for a recovery in the weather.

The three-and-a-half hour performance concluded successfully amidst the pouring rain, with Arashi singing and dancing to a total of 39 songs (their main focus being on their latest album, "Beautiful World"). Although there were concerns, they used balloons and fireworks as planned for their performance.

During the finale, Aiba said, "I am very thankful that we were able to do the concert," while Ohno Satoshi expressed, "I'm happy we were able to enjoy this big end-of-summer festival together."

This concert was a part of Arashi's nationwide tour, "ARASHI LIVE TOUR Beautiful World", which brought together a total of 525,000 people. Keeping in mind the power shortage effect from March's Tohoku Earthquake, they conserved energy by reducing last year's special feature of the stage fountain. They were able to reduce power consumption by about 70% from last year. It's said that 99% of their power consumption came from 20 car-powered generators

A new 5-member boy band named "Boyz" is preparing to debut soon.
