[News] WGM producers speak out about their feelings on Kwonin couple & FO2 controversy

With rumors of of the Jo Kwon GaIn couple leaving the show continuing to surround the show, MBC WGM's producers have made their point clear that no such thing will take place.

The reason behind the rumors is because of an appearance made by the Adam Couple on a recent episode of SBS's 'Family Outing 2.' The Adam Couple image was created by MBC but spent by SBS, making the WGM producers heave a sigh at the broken business ethics. 

However, the producers went on to state, "We make couples promise before they joined WGM that they will limit the amount of appearances they make together on other variety shows as a couple. That promise has been kept for more than two years and to have Kwon & GaIn break it now is extremely upsetting. But, it isn't their fault. Since they're doing it anyway, we hope that they do well and create a 'pretty' image for themselves."

Regarding the rumors of them leaving the show, "We have things planned for them until the year end and a lot of unused recording still left. It'd be perfect if they didn't go on Family Outing 2 but the waters already been split. We know that GaIn's agency has rejected the offer (from FO2) numerous amount of times. We will not be taking the couple out of the show as an act of revenge."

Rumors regarding the couple actually strengthened once more with the addition of Nichkhun and Victoria along with their three weeks of absence from recording. 

"Every time such rumors come out, the celebrities themselves lose energy. It's come to the point where we had to take them aside and tell them not be shaken up by it." The producers showed a rather worried side about the Jo Kwon GaIn couple. 

The couple still has a health club, Bali photo shoot, and wedding episodes still lined up for the show.

[News] Taecyeon’s upset he can’t watch Korea vs Argentina match

Popular group 2PM's Taecyeon has predicted a victory for Korea against Argentina with a 3;2 score. 

After supporting Korea against the Greece match in America, Taecyeon stated, "I was proud while watching the Greece match. I think that Korea will guarantee its advancement by winning the Argentina match 3:2."

"Argentina has Lionel Messi but Korea has 'Captain Park' Park Jisung. I'm sure that Park Jisung will be able to shake the goal net once more."

Taecyeon will not be able to see the Argentina match live due to a recording scheduled for KBS 2TV's Win Win which takes place at the same time. Taecyeon will be in the Win Win recording set at Seoul, KBS hall along with Super Junior's Choi Shiwon and CN Blue's Jung Yonghwa under a special 'actor idol' special. 

Taecyeon stated, "It's disappointing that I can't watch because of the recording. I will be spending the two hours in a nervous state."

On the 16th, MBC was broadcasted and their guest was the girl group f(x) - Victoria, Krystal, Amber, Sulli, Luna. MC'ed by Kim Guk Jin, Yoon Jong Shin, Kim Gu Ra and Shin Jong Hwan, they had made the viewers enjoy the show.

Breaking the peace and harmony moment, all of a sudden, Shin Jong Hwan proposed a dialogue in English while bumping Kim Gu Ra's hand.

While cooling from the heat of embarrassment, Kim Gu Ra tried to get away with the suggestion and changing the subject but Shin Jong Hwan stubbornly ignored him and asked the f(x)'s member to give a question first. f(x) asked in English "9 times 8" and after taking a long time to calculate in his mind (while being blur), Kim Gu Ra answered "27" and everyone laughed out loud.

"Are you sure you are an English Grammar graduate?" They asked and he answered "At the school of English Grammar, we don't learn 9x9 multiplications" trying to make out for his mistake but it was too late and making the humiliation worst.

[News] Jejung, Yuchun, Yunho – Tohoshinki Takes Control Of Japan As Actors!

Embraced by a large number of passionate fans in both Korea and Japan, that is the highly popular group that paused all group activities in April, Tohoshinki. Recently, a new unit consisting of Junsu, Jejung and Yuchun performed at Tokyo Dome and Osaka's Kyocera Dome, with a total of 4 performancing attracting 200,000 people, showing their immense popularity. Moreover, local television, handphone sites, and DVDs are featuring the members as actors, and this is attracting a lot of attention.















Jejung is currently starring in the Fuji Television Drama "Sunao Ni Narenakute", which was written by Eriko Kitagawa. Coming to Japan from Korea with his sister, and being a struggling salesman, he passionately plays the role of "Doctor" who desires to be with Ueno Juri's "Haru." He is gentle, and a little unreliable, "Doctor's" seemingly fruitless struggle is keeping fans at the edge of their seats. Prior to this drama, Jejung was also involved in the Japan-Korea collaboration project "Telecinema 7", which featured a Japanese scriptwriters' stories and Directors as well as actors from Korea. His movie, "Heaven's Postman" (Screened in May) was also written by Eriko Kitagawa, and this was his first starring role in a movie. We look forward to his active performance in both movies and dramas in the future!

For Yuchun, he took on his first key role in the currently-airing BeeTv drama "Beautiful Love ~Kimi ga Ireba~" The story is about Yuchun's character Yonsu, who is the heir of a Korean Conglomerate, and Aya Oomasa's Hinata, who is a journalist who dreams of being a writer. Initially, they fail to get along, but they gradually learn to understand each other and a Cinderella-like love story unfolds. On 4 June, the airing of the first episode on BeeTV, download numbers reached a record high of 250,000 downloads. Prior to the drama release, the screening of "Making of~Beautiful Love~" was the clip with the highest views for 4 days running, which was a new record, showing its immense popularity. This overwhelming performance was different from his previous charm exhibited as a singer, and Yuchun's natural acting has been a hot topic. Incidentally, the drama's theme song "Kimi Ga Ireba ~Beautiful You~" and interlude "Intoxication" was performed by his close friend Junsu. These 2 songs are recorded under the name XIAH junsu, in his solo debut single "XIAH", which sold over 200,000 copies.
























Also, a hot topic in both Japan and Korea last year, Yunho's debut drama "No Limit ~Heading to the ground~"has been released early! DVD Box set sales started on 16 June for Yunho's drama, in which he acted as a soccer player who aims to be the best in the world. Although talented, his team is plagued by problems and troublemakers and eventually breaks up. Amidst his desperate struggle, and this story unfolds to become a romantic comedy depicting how a youth struggles with both love and football.

Jejung, Yuchun & Yunho, are 3 different people participating in different ways. They are working their way into establishing a firm position as actors in the Japanese entertainment industry. Although it is a pity not to be able to see the 5 of them on stage together, they have continued to charge forward into various media such as TV, movies, DVDs and handphone dramas.

SNSD rehearses for World Cup street cheering festival

One of the most popular girl groups SNSD was spotted at Seoul’s Sam Sung Dong street rehearsing for a World Cup street cheering festival in the evening.

The members were able to show a charismatic side of themselves through their rehearsal practice on stage where Yoona will also be one of the MCs. The match between Korea and Argentina for their Group B game at the 2010 Africa World Cup will take place later today at Johannesburg.

There will also be thousands of people who will dress the streets of Seoul in red as they cheer on their team far away. So look forward to the match airing live later!


Newbie vocalist Yo Ah Ri admits quitting the Brown Eyed Girls

Every star must have a dark story in the past, and a brand new singer of kpop Yo Ah Ri is not an exception. The girl admitted that she was once a part of the phenomenal Brown Eyed Girls as their fifth member, but soon exited the group. Of course, she was completely unaware of the monstrous fame the girls would gain soon after quitting.

According to Yo Ah Ri, she was an official Brown Eyed Girl until 2006, regardless of her young age. Her maturity on top of great singing skills qualified the girl to be in the group. However, right before the grand debut, she had to bow out due to the difference in her music style with the Brown Eyed Girls.

She then entered a short-lived rock band Sprinkler, and was in charge of recording guide tracks for artists, mainly the Brown Eyed Girls.

“Every time I sing a guide song for the Brown Eyed Girls, I would burst in tears and fall in depression. But because of that experience, I was able to learn a lot, making this solo debut possible,” Yo Ah Ri revealed.

Brown Eyed Girls aside, Yo Ah Ri has had a difficult life growing up, as she only graduated from elementary school. Due to economic hardships of her family, she was expected to contribute to her family by earning money from various jobs.

Yo Ah Ri’s debut track ??? (Excuse Me) will be unleashed on the 21st.

The first leg of the Wonder World Tour may be over now, but the Wonder Girls and 2PM made sure to wrap it up with a bang – after roaming the East Coast, Chicago and Texas, the JYPE idol caravan finally made it to California this past weekend, hitting up Los Angeles, Anaheim and San Francisco!

There are a few things that you can only understand when you’re actually present at an event – details are often muted in blog recaps, fancams don’t always capture an artist’s presence, and even the most experienced fan isn’t necessarily able to put the energized ambiance of a concert into words. Anyone who sees the Wonder Girls & 2PM live can agree that these performers practically bleed stage charisma; just a few seconds of a song could get the crowd roaring in mere moments. You’d think that performing the same show in nine (and counting…) cities would tire you out on stage, yet the girls & guys commanded the attention of an eager, ear-splitting audience every night. At the Los Angeles show, the House of Blues was busting at the seams with attendees; in Anaheim, a bra was thrown at Nichkhun …twice!

After giving you a sneak peek backstage, kicking off the tour with the girls and reliving the show play by play, we’ve still got a few more exclusives up our sleeves. I had the opportunity of meeting the Wonder Girls & 2PM backstage during each of their California shows, and from a bit of TaecHo bromance to the Wonder Girls playing line charades, you fans are in for a treat! Jo Kwon and Ga-In are not leaving We Got Married

It was revealed that popular “idol couple” Jo Kwon and Ga-In in variety show We Got Married have not recorded a new episode for about 3 weeks now.

Fans have therefore been worried that the couple might stop appearing in the program altogether, especially after the two filmed for variety show Family Outing Season 2 where Ga-In appeared as a guest, there has been some tension between the singers and the We Got Married staff members.

Because of this, there have been rumors going around that the Jo Kwon-Ga In couple will be replaced. However, affiliated We Got Married staff members have denied these rumors as baseless false information. The affiliated staff individuals stated, “The reason why Jo Kwon and Ga In have not been filming is because their allotted time have already been filmed. They are not being replaced, it’s just that many of their scenes that plans to be aired have not been aired yet.”

On the 26th, We Got Married will feature three couples: Jo Kwon-Ga In, Jung Yonghwa-Seohyun, and the newest couple addition Nickhun-Victoria.


Jay Park to return to Korea tomorrow

Jay Park will be returning to Korea on June 18th in order to film for the new movie he will be starring in called Hype Nation. According to affiliated movie officials on the 17th, Jay Park will return to Korea from Seattle, Washington.

The singer will finally return to his fans after the big scandal last September in 9 months. The movie official stated, “At the time we planned for Jay to fly back to Korea on the 19th but in order to concentrate more on the details of filming Hype Nation and prepare, it was decided that Jay will come on the 18th.”

Filming for Hype Nation will officially begin on the 21st.

Following the recent trend, popular girl group member, After School’s Nana has been receiving a lot of attention for recently revealing her face with no makeup.

This picture of Nana which was taken by a TV camera is spreading around various Internet photo portal sites as it shows the singer right before she put on any makeup. Netizens who are used to seeing the singer with thick makeup have contrasting views about her makeup-less picture.

Invincible Youth welcomes their new members

With the broadcast last week being the last for SNSD’s Yuri, Sunny and 4minute’s Hyuna, the June 18th episode of Invincible Youth will signal a new beginning with 3 new G7 members and the surprise temporary addition of another.

We reported previously that f(x)’s Victoria, After School’s Joo Yeon, and Sori would be joining the G7 crew, but who is this mysterious temporary addition you ask? It’s none other then Koyote’s Kim Jong Min! With such a talented comedian joining the cast for some time, viewers are bound to enjoy the new episodes.

Small interviews were held with each member about how they feel with the new members joining, and pertaining to their Invincible Youth experience.

Kim Shin Young said, “I’m sad to see three original members leave our crew, but I’m excited for the new additions. Hopefully we can become just as close.” The comedian continued to talk about herself and how she feels she’s doing on the show, “I feel like I haven’t been as funny and energetic as I used to be, I did comedy much better in the past. I’ll try my best and teach the new members all I can.”

Next up was T-ara’s Hyomin who talked about the tears she shed when Sunny made her departure from the show and said, “When I first found out that Sunny was leaving the show, I was devastated. She taught me many things from performing arts to responsibility.” and continued by thanking Sunny. She added, “I will teach the new members what Sunny taught me, especially the great burden of responsibility.”

Recently added member Joo Yeon also had some things to say, “I’m excited to be part of this unique crew. Though the situation will be tough at times, in the end it will be much more enjoyable and rewarding. This will be a new experience for me where I can show my true self.” Joo Yeon also apologized to fellow After School members Jung Ah and Nana because their auditions weren’t accepted.

With most members being in a popular girl group, solo singer Sori felt left out, and actually thought that she wouldn’t make it in. She said, “I wanted to be in this program from the start, however I never had a chance due to my busy schedules then. I’m not as popular as others, so I’m really glad to have been chosen.”

Narsha said, “At first, many people thought of me as scary due to my older age. But being this old means I have a lot of experience. I can teach the new members necessities in life, and because of that, I’m glad to have an adult idol image.”

Secret’s Sunhwa was very thankful for being part of the show and stated, “Being a part of Invincible Youth and Secret really saved my life. I have learned so much about life in a short amount of time, and greatly appreciate having the opportunity. I was able to build confidence and I will share that with the new family members.”

Kara’s Goo Hara confessed that she didn’t want to join Invincible Youth at first. She said, “Frankly, I wasn’t interested in joining Invincible Youth at first. I’m glad that I continued with it though, because I could never meet another group of sisters other then the ones I met through Invincible Youth. I greatly appreciate having the opportunity, and will be sure to share lots of love with the new members.”

Goo Hara is now the official maknae of G7 as well. Hyuna was previously the youngest, however left the show due to scheduling conflicts.

Victoria wasn’t too comfortable at first when she saw chickens and bugs. She said, “At first, the chickens and bugs I saw really didn’t appeal to me. But soon after, I really started to enjoy my experience. I’m glad to have an opportunity to come out once a week and work with fellow members. I feel at home already.”

Lastly we have the ever-so-famous comedian, better known as Kim Jong Min. He’s temporarily participating in the show for 4 weeks to teach the new members about variety programs, especially in Invincible Youth’s environment.

He said, “I’m helping the new members adapt to this type of variety show. However, the new members already seem to know what they’re doing, so what am I here for?” He continued by saying, “We all know 1N2D (1 Night, 2 Days) is more fresh then this show anyways,” causing the staff to burst out laughing.

It’s quite clear that the G7 crew has a strong family bond, always helping each other out and learning new things in the process. The first episode starring the new members is scheduled to air on the 18th, so stay tuned!

Tiger JK and Yoon Mirae to be the judges for Superstar K2 in LA

We’ve reported earlier about the Superstar K Season 2 hitting up Los Angeles, CA. Well, we have more interesting news for you eager U.S participants.

A Mnet Superstar K2 representative revealed that the infamous hiphop couple Tiger JK and Yoon Mirae are going to be the judges! The rep stated, “This holds a meaning of importance for us since it’s going to be the first time that season 2 is opening up and is heading overseas. Tiger JK and Yoon Mirae stand above in terms of musical abilities and know a lot about the overseas culture. This is why they have been chosen to be the judges.”

Kim Tae Woo misses Yuri on Invincible Youth

Every week, Yuri bravely displayed her embarrassing moments on the show with a cool attitude, but we won’t be able to witness her funny character on this show anymore. Due to SNSD’s overseas activities clashing with the Invincible Youth filming schedule, Yuri and Sunny had to withdraw.

Kim Tae Woo told a reporter, “It’s a lie for me to say that I don’t miss Yuri. I think of her often. Whenever I pass by a poster of Yuri at this one farmland, I always stroke her cheek. We still keep in touch by phone but I’m sad that I don’t see her often.”

He also shared his feelings about the new members, “We just finished recording our third recording with the new Invincible Youth members. Sunny and Hyuna were short, and the new members are taller. So, I guess it feels more refreshing in those terms and I think it’ll help attract attract more male viewers.”

He continued, “There are a lot of people who are jealous of my spot on the show. My friends are jealous of me and ask a lot about the G7 members when we go out for a drink.” Honestly, which guy wouldn’t be jealous of him?

Invincible Youth has said its goodbyes toward Yuri, Sunny, and 4minute’s Hyuna. Now Kim So Ri, f(x)’s Victoria, and After School’s Joo Yeon have taken over their empty spots. Koyote’s Kim Jong Min will be a cameo on the show for four weeks as their teaching assistant. This episode will air on the 18th.

Lee Min Jung is a goddess

Actress Lee Min Jung showed off her “goddess” makeup pictures, and they’ve been gaining lots of attention for, well, obvious reasons.

Recently at a studio located in Kangnam, the actress filmed a CF shoot promoting the makeup brand Lollynne. During the film, Lee Min Jung bragged her beautiful goddess like looked and pulled off a strong charismatic aura.

The film was based around the three concepts of “goddess smoky,” “goddess natural” and “goddess romantic.” Lee Min Jung received praise from the staff present during the filming for her strong and realistic expressions and poses of a goddess being born.

Through popular dramas including Boys over Flowers and Smile You, Lee Min Jung recently rose to stardom as one of the most wanted actresses of this year. She filmed CFs for products including cars, alcoholic beverages, and now makeup.

T.O.P. is ready to Turn It Up

Big Bang's bad boy rapper T.O.P, will unleash a solo single on June 21. YG Entertainment announced at its website that the song Turn It Up was composed and written by T.O.P. himself.

The MV for the song was shown to V.I.Ps (fans) in February during Big Bang's 3rd concert The Big Show 2010. Needless to say, the fans responded positively towards the MV.

[NEWS] 2AM’s company building was robbed last week

Popular group 2AM's agency building had a burglar trespass and steal computers and other office furniture. In preparation for world cup festivities, offices and empty homes are putting up preventive measures.

Police suspect that the six story building, standing across from Andre Kim's fashion shop, was robbed on the night of the 12th, the day of the Korea vs. Greece match.

Employees went off to work on the afternoon of the 14th and found the entrance door ripped off and missing computers with only the monitors left in place. Two offices within the building were emptied along with a total of 15 stolen computers and other valuables.

After receiving the call, police stated, "There is an increasing amount of burglars that are targeting empty houses and offices with the world cup festivities (diverting attention). People need to make sure that everything is locked on the night of the 17th with the Argentina match."

Police investigated finger prints and foot prints on scene along with CCTV records and suspect that it was a professional burglar that used a car big enough to fit so many computers.

Another celebrity agency employee, Park, stated, "Group 2AM's office is on the first floor but it seems like there wasn't anything stolen."

2AM's agency, Big Hit Entertainment, stated, "It's unfortunate that such an event took place in the building we just moved in. We will be requesting thorough security measures to the landlord."

Park Bo Young is the top candidate for It Started With A Kiss

Actress Park Bo Young has emerged as the top candidate to play the female role for the Korean drama version of the popular Japanese manga series Itarazura Na Kiss and also known as It Started With A Kiss.

On the 17th, it was announced over 100 people have auditioned for this role and Park Bo Young has emerged as the most probable candidate.

The confirmed cast will be decided by the end of this month, with filming beginning in July and it will be shown through MBC.

2PM's Nichkhun has met a hardcore fan in America.

In a recent video uploaded on Youtube of 2PM opening for the Wonder Girls American tour, 2PM was in the middle of singing 10/10 when a fan suddenly took off her underwear and threw it on stage towards Nichkhun. Nichkhun seemed surprised for a second but continued to concentrate on the performance along with a cute butt dance. Fans began chanting the members' names and even sang along to the song in Korean.

Throwing undergarments up on stage has become a regular occurrence in American performances such as Cliff Richard's Korean concert, where a number of college students threw their underwear on stage. 'Nichkhun's underwear event' has just become another confirmation that 2PM has a lot of popularity in America.

Regarding this, JYP Entertainment met with T-news and stated, "Different countries have different performance cultures. 2PM has safely completed their American performances and has returned to Korea. They will soon be preparing for their Korean concerts. 2AM will be the opening act from now on so we request that you give them a lot of interest."

Rookie girl group SISTAR made a belated entry from the K-pop world as they became the last singer to release a World Cup cheer song, We Never Go Alone this week.

This official fight song was produced by the Brave Brothers and revolves around the South Korea’s football captain, Park Ji Sung. The MV comes at just the right time as we await the crucial game for South Korea against Argentina on June 17th in South Africa tonight. Dae Han Min Guk!!!

f(x)’s Victoria sets examples for cute charms

Looks like f(x)’s Amber and Sulli weren’t the only ones who were humorous on MBC’s Radio Star! Victoria has also attracted a lot of attention by sharing her good and bad examples of cute charms.

Yoon Jong Shin started giving a brief biography of Victoria, “Real name is Song Chi En, age 23. She’s the sole 20 year member of the group but has earned the nickname ‘absolute young’ because her and Krystal look like friends.”

Since Victoria is Chinese, Shin Jung Hwan asked Victoria if she understood the meaning of the word ‘dong an (young).’ Then, Victoria started to show a myriad of her cute facial expressions.

Yoon Jong Shin asked, “Victoria as a lot of cute charm. Show us please,” and then Victoria said, “Oppa!” in a cute tone along with a cutesy facial expression. Kim Ku Ra admitted, “She has merit,” upon seeing her charm.

Later, Victoria did an impersonation of a cartoon character, BBo Ro Ro, voice and expressions and all, “Hi. I’m BBo Ro Ro~ I want to fly~.” Suddenly, the atmosphere of the set became quiet for about three seconds and then the members burst into laughter. Kim Ku Ra silently wiped away the sweat on his face while Shin Jung Hwan humorously recommended, “Just say oppa from now on.”

Jaebum takes #1 on music charts, will he reveal his severe mistake?

After withdrawing from idol group 2PM, Park Jaebum is set to return to the nation with his movie, Hype Nation, and is expecting considerable chaos at the airport upon his arrival. Jaebum's movie has set the 20th for crank in and it seems as if Jaebum will be entering by the 20th, if not the 18th at earliest.

With Jaebum's entrance, there are a variety of different views being thrown his way. While innocent fans may see him with welcoming arms, there are also those that are treating his arrival as a highly sensitive issue.

After JYP Entertainment stated that Jaebum had a 'severe private life mistake' and was withdrawn from 2PM, rumors regarding Jaebum have been circulating nonstop.

However, neither side has spoken further about the severe private life in question and both sides are opting to remain silent.

Jaebum fans believe that it is JYP that must prove that there is a private life mistake and clarify it while netizens find it hard to understand why both sides are choosing to remain silent when the issue has gotten as big as it has.

Other netizens have stated, "We want Jaebum to use his return to the nation as an opportunity to speak out clearly and confidently about the issue," and that, "There are still a lot of people that are in doubt about what happened regarding Jaebum."

Nobody knows which side it is more beneficial to by keeping so quiet. But isn't it only right for him, the person in question, to speak up about the issue if he is so confident that he did nothing wrong?

Jaebum's featuring song, BOB's Nothin On You, reached #1 moments within its release on Cyworld's real time charts. The amount of influence that Jaebum has in the Korean music industry is huge. To just call him a "normal citizen that has left the Korean music industry" is an understatement.

Is Jaebum supposed to be classified as a public figure of the Korean music industry, or quite literally as a regular citizen that has left 2PM for America? Just looking at his influence and his role in the Hollywood film 'Hype Nation' proves that he is a public figure, a celebrity.

Just because he is not promoting in Korea does not mean that fans can force their opinion by stating that he is a regular citizen.

If such is true, then it is only right for him to clarify himself to the people that support him and are interested in him.
