| Rain clarifies his radio scandal with Hyori for the first time Posted: 20 May 2010 03:10 PM PDT For the first time, singer Rain / Bi spoke up about the radio scandal between him and Lee Hyori on a TV broadcasting. On an episode of KBS2 Happy Together 3 that was aired on the 20th, MC Yoo Jae Suk and Park Myung Soo had asked the King and Queen of K-pop, “Have any scandals surfaced because of you performed on stage together?” To this, Hyori replied, “There was one because of a radio show.” Rain added, “It’s an old story now, but at the time, I was at Hong Kong for my concert. I discovered later that the rumors spread because of an elementary kid who posted it on an online bulletin as a joke.” Hyori jokingly said, “I wish there was something for a scandal to surface.” The radio scandal traces back to 2005, when Kim Tae Woo appeared on Kiss the Radio, which fellow g.o.d member Danny Ahn was hosting. As a joke, Kim Tae Woo called Rain without notifying him that he was on-air. As they were conversing casually, Rain made a shocking confession. He blurted, “Hyung! Hyori and I had se–” At that moment, the radio was suddenly cut off and music was played. There is still no substantial evidence to prove that Rain and Hyori and indeed hooked up, but many fan accounts who listened to the radio that day have confirmed the story as true. I don’t know about you guys, but Rain and Hyori’s chemistry–in Happy Together 3 alone–was enough to convince me that the two aren’t only in a friends zone. | A night of comebacks on Countdown Posted: 20 May 2010 02:33 PM PDT
Last night on Mnet’s M! Countdown, four of your favorite Kpop acts came roaring back on the scene. Let’s start off with the newest kids on the block, 2010’s rookies of the year C.N.Blue. The boys of Blue are back with their sophomore effort Bluelove which was just released this week. They performed their new songs “Sweet Holiday” and “Love” check it our here courtesy of noSoda237. Next up was the return of Rain’s disciples MBLAQ. MBLAQ, who debuted in late 2009 and have been on several variety shows performed their comeback songs “Y” and “One Better Day” which you can here thanks to yurimyangel. I don’t necessarily dislike MBLAQ, but I also don’t think that their songs are exceptionally good. In my opinion, other than the funky name MBLAQ and some often hideous outfits, their performances are just okay. I do like the boys and think that they are pretty hilarious in their appearances on variety shows so maybe the songs will grow on me. Now, it’s on to the girls. First up is 4Minute with their funky introduction “Who’s Next” featuring BEAST followed by their comeback performance of “HuH” via 4minutePerf. 4Minute is okay in my book and they definitely have some good songs. But seriously, the only person I know in the group is Hyuna. Lastly, the performance everyone was waiting for was the return of the Wonder Girls to Korea. They are promoting their newest international single “2 Different Tears.” Check out one of Kpop’s most anticipated comebacks of 2010 thanks to tookeai. This was also new member Hye Rim’s first performance as a Wonder Girl in Korea on one of the music shows and I think she did excellent. I’m not sure that “2 Different Tears” will be as big as “Nobody” it’s a good song, but I just don’t think it has the ‘it’ factor that “Nobody” had. Sorry that some of the videos are out of sync. All the ones I found were though, so these were the best I could find. Look forward to more great comeback performances on all the rest of the Kpop music shows this weekend. No related posts.

Goo Hara from the idol group, Kara stripped off her pants in front of the camera without realizing it! What had happened actually?
While busy changing into her costume, MC Park MiSeon compared Rain's bulky arms and Goo Hara's slim legs. Goo Hara shocked the guests when out of a sudden she took off her short pants in front of everyone! Luckily she had hotpants inside! Goo Hara did a spontaneous action without giving prior notice to anyone and it left a huge shock to them. Only after a few seconds, Goo Hara did realize that her action was a bit ridiculous to be shown nationwide. Startled for a while, she could not hide her feeling of embarrassment.Nevertheless, she 'made up' her mistake by performing U-Go-Girl perfectly. This rising star recently appeared on the June edition of male’s magazine Maxim Korea and captured the hearts of male fans by stating in an interview, “As long as the guy doesn’t seem to be a playboy or a bad guy, I can give him my phone number.” Additionally, JJ said that her ideal guy is someone who “tries their best at even the smallest things so that he gives the impression as the ‘King of work.’” She then continued, “Instead of approaching the person I like first, I attract the person so that he will come towards me,” introducing her dating style. JJ successfully expressed various styles with her cute face and great body during the Maxim filming. Despite the model’s busy schedule, JJ had a bright expression and tried her best for the shoot, showing her pro side. 2PM's Junsu and Nichkhun were one of the guests on KBS 2TV’s Happy Together on the 20th. During the show, Nichkhun revealed that among his 2PM members, Wooyoung cried the most during their practice. On the latest episode of Happy Together, Nichkhun shared that JYP scolded them a lot during their practice sessions. Every member has to do their best and wants to impress JYP, therefore any mistakes is unacceptable and in this case, Wooyoung was the one who felt the most pressure.
Nichkhun jokingly said that whenever he makes any mistake, JYP has no choice but to scold him in English. As a result, he doesn't get scolded much. Ha! Smart Khunnie! Meanwhile, during the preparation on their latest album 'Don't Stop Can't Stop,' Nichkhun admits that JYP doesn't nag at them anymore; instead, JYP will prepare the team members for a cup of water. If you want to know why, JYP has a New Year's resolution which is to “not to lose his temper easily.” It is just the fact that JYP is hardworking mentor, he wants everything perfect for the boys. | Nichkhun shares his thoughts on Thailand Posted: 20 May 2010 11:07 AM PDT It seems like Super Junior’s Choi Siwonand his celebrity friends aren’t the only ones concerned about Thailand due to the sensitive political situation. On the 19th, half-Thai and popular 2PM member Nichkhun published on Twitter his sad and hurt feelings towards Thailand’s unfortunate situation. These words that Nichkhun wrote in Thai have been translated into both English and Korean by fans, and is currently being circulated around the Internet. According to translations, Nichkhun wrote, “Why did it need to be done this harshly, just who is the winner in this situation. Has the thing called ‘heart’ died? Please stand up and help us,” showing great sympathy towards the situation. Additionally, the singer also said, “After looking at the Bangkok pictures I was speechless and shocked. My heart hurt so much that tears began coming down. Exactly why? How?” further expressing his hurt feelings clearly towards the public. It’s just really sad when unfortunate events like this happens. I also pray and hope that the situation in Thailand gets better, and hope Nichkhun doesn’t take it too hard.

| Being a KPOP star made me more attractive Posted: 20 May 2010 10:30 AM PDT I’d say 70% of male KPOP stars are attractive, not because they’re good-looking but because they can bump n’ grind, sing, and take off their shirts. But strip away the celebrity persona, make-up, bronzer, costumes, and lights, and you realize they ain’t all that and a bag of chips. They’re just regular Joes like you and I and while they may be good looking to start with, being a KPOP star definitely made these dudes more attractive. Taec’s an interesting character because I really believe that if he wasn’t a 2PM gorgeous man, he’d be that tall, goofy kid at the party who all the girls think are hot until he opens his mouth. And that’s not a diss by any means! I mean it in the nicest way possible but when Taec was placed into 2PM, he went from silly, lanky kid next door to the hot, sexy, beast-like rapper we’ve all grown to love. Though he’s a good looking kid, I would definitely have to say that being a KPOP star made Taec more attractive.
I’m not a Changmin fan, I’ve never been and I’m pretty sure I never will be, but I’ll give it to him, he’s got an awesome voice. But take away his fellow DBSK soldiers from his side, and all that material swag, you’re left with just a normal Korean kid with big lips. I can hear the Cassis roaring right now but compared to the rest of his teammates, Changmin just can’t hold his own personality wise and that’s why I have to say that being a KPOP star made Changmin more attractive.
I remember watching Donghae back in the “Love Letter” Days and thinking to myself, why in heck is this Mortal Kombat character with 0 personality on this show? Back then he had this long, blonde-ish Dragon Ball Z thing going on and I remember him not getting the girl he wanted because well, he couldn’t talk his way into her heart. Now, the boy has changed and over the years has slowly crawled out of his shell. You girls love him but I’d say that being a KPOP star made Donghae more attractive.
I can’t hate on Daesung, I can’t, because I love his personality and he’s just so darn like-able! But on a shallow note, we all know Daesung isn’t a T.O.P and he knows it too which makes him even more attractive. I have nothing negative to say about Daesung as an artist so I’ll end it it with saying, being a KPOP star made Daesung more attractive.

Daksclub.com has recently surveyed 721 single men and women to which World Cup song they love the most. The survey showed that majority of the respondents (52%) voted for SNSD. "SNSD’s song is more lively and exciting and is able to increase the fun in the event. Through SNSD’s song, you already feel that victory," claims a source. Following SNSD are the girls of T-ara who garnered 21.2% votes, Wonder Girls (10.3%) came in 3rd and lastly, After School with 7.7% votes. Among the male idols, 2PM's World Cup song took the number 1 spot and according to the respondents, 2PM had worked tirelessly and enthusiastically to cheer for the game. | Mikiko Yano denies dating Jaejoong Posted: 20 May 2010 10:04 AM PDT A few days ago a weekly magazine in Japan reported that TVXQ / DBSK / Tohoshinki's Jaejoong was spotted on a date with Japanese model Mikiko Yano. The two were reportedly seen wearing masks standing at a cross walk with arms locked looking to be enjoying each others company. A representative speaking for Jaejoong said, "He has only met Mikiko Yano once and it was in a group setting." Mikiko Yano's camp told the magazine that she and Jaejoong are just "friends." Now it seems Mikiko herself is denying it as well. Mikiko Yano recently added a entry to her blog stating that she was very surprised when she heard the rumor and that nothing happened. She also stated that there’s nothing to worry about. Mikiko also apologized for responding late as she was heading to Hawaii on the 17th when the rumor was first reported. | Goo Hara shocks everyone on Happy Together Season 3 Posted: 20 May 2010 08:22 AM PDT In the continuation of the Happy Together Season 3 episode from last week, it was revealed that KARA’s Goo Hara had shocked everyone with a sudden action! During the episode shown on May 20th, Goo Hara had prepared a U-Go-Girl special stage for her sunbaenims Lee Hyori and Rain, especially the latter whom Hara had revealed as her ideal type. Before the performance, Rain started comparing Hara’s legs with his hands, saying that they were so thin. Then as everyone was focusing on Hara’s legs, Hara suddenly did something which left everyone flustered. Hara, with her butt facing Rain and the other guests, started taking off her pink shorts, revealing her hot pants. It might be nothing to us viewers, but it was certainly shocking to have a 19-year old doing this in front of you suddenly. | TVXQ JaeChunSu trio to change name to J.Y.J? Posted: 20 May 2010 08:13 AM PDT Many of you know about the tension between TVXQ / DBSK / Tohoshinki’s JaeChunSu (Jaejoong, Yoochun, Junsu) and SM Entertainment. Well it seems it’s reached a point where the trio can’t use the TVXQ name anymore. The trio announced the formation of a new unit last month and to show their appreciation, they scheduled a concert series on June 5th and 6th in the Osaka Dome as well as on the 12th and 13th in the famed Tokyo Dome. Well, it’s been recently made known that they will not use the name TVXQ for the concert but instead promote it using the name J.Y.J which stands for Jaejoong Yoochun Junsu. This could very well be a temporary move as Avex Entertainment may have legal issues with using the TVXQ name, but still many fans are voicing their concerns over this move. This scenario is very similar to events that happened over a decade ago. H.O.T., one of the greatest K-Pop groups of all time had a fall out with SM Entertainment. Three former members from H.O.T., Jang Woo Hyuk, Tony An and Lee Jae Won went on to form their own group named J.T.L. Meanwhile, it seems TVXQ members Yunho and Changmin are on good terms with SM Entertainment as they attend many SM related events.
