| SS501’s Park Jung Min reveals Royal Avenue showroom Posted: 18 May 2010 11:17 PM PDT SS501’s Park Jung Min has revealed his personal online shopping mall’s showroom, Royal Avenue. Last Decemeber, Park Jung Min appeared as a guest for MBC’s Golden Fishery/Radio Star and confessed, “My online shopping mall’s current visitor count is 0.” Since his honest confession, his visitor count has gone up, and a showroom for his online shopping mall was made with an interior designer and fashion magazine InStyle. All the interior designs and decorations are being sold through Royal Avenue, and a party for the opening of his showroom was held on the 1st where SS501’s Kim Hyung Joon, Shim Eun Jin and Rainbow all came to show their support. Pictures of his showroom will be revealed through InStyle’s June issue, but check out a preview below!

| T-ara’s Qri and Soyeon make a cameo in a drama Posted: 18 May 2010 11:07 PM PDT Since T-ara’s recent success in the industry, most of the members are starting to work on seperate projects to get their names out there. Overshadowed by their members, Soyeon and Qri has been the minor faces of the group, but it seems like they are starting to bring their fame up there, as they have made a cameo appearance in drama Giant. The drama is set in the 70’s – 80’s and is about the economic growth of Korea and the hardships that the people felt at that time. With high-profile actors like Lee Bum Soo, Jung Bo Suk, and Hwang Jung Eum, the drama is sure to be a success. Soyeon and Qri acted as one of the most popular singing groups back then, called the Bunny Girls (check out the history of girl groups to get more info!) Even though it was a cameo role, the two practiced the songs and the choreography of the legendary girl group for two days, which proves their hard work, no matter how small the role is. Girl group Tiara has been chosen as the new models for Waterpark. Tiara will follow in UEE and Gahee of After School and 2PM for being the previous models for Waterpark Resort. Tiara has been chosen because of their pretty and sexy image that went well on stage and greatly loved by fans as well. Waterpark officials said,” Tiara is very unique and can do both cute, sporty, sexy and various images with huge success, They have good representation as models for various CF’s that’s why they were selected as well”. They recently had a photo shoot last May 14 that showed the sexy image of the members of T-ara. They have been filming for the CF and the full CF will be released by June. | [NEWS]MBLAQ ‘Y’ MV, Shooting scene to be deleted then re-released Posted: 18 May 2010 10:56 PM PDT  It seems it maybe be hard to see 'chic-dol' MBLAQ's full version of the music video through MBC KBS SBS and other public channels. Before their comeback, MBLAQ had released their title song 'Y' music video through MTV on May 17th. The music video is about the betrayal received from the loved girl, revenge, forgiveness, and more. Through the MV Lee Joon was able to successfully pull off kiss scenes, bed scenes, and more with the main female character and even show off his crying acting. In the last scene Lee Joon is shown shooting a gun towards the girl that he had once loved. Although it is not completely shown, it can be assumed that with Lee Joon and the gun in his hand, and the fainted girl faintly moving her hands with blood that there was a gunshot. A company representative of MBLAQs on the 19th had a phone call with Newsen saying "We knew that the gun coming out in the music video would be hard to be shown on public channels" and "There is another version for the public channels, the gun scene is taken out." MBLAQ is planning on releasing it on the 19th. This representative also talked about the shower scene and the exposing scenes and said "It is not the company president Rain (Real Name Jung Jihoon) but Lee Joon" and "He excercised a lot." He put a purple bow on his head as if he’s the present and held up a cake to indicate the celebration and snapped away. On May 18th, on MBC FM4U 'Shindong and Park Gyuri's Shim Shim Ta Pa' homepage's 'Shim Shim Album' bulletin board, there was a picture of 2PM Chansung and DJ Park Kyung Lim, who were on the show as guests." The day of the filming was the Coming of Age Day, and on the day, Chansung put a purple flower in his hair and gave a bright smile while holding a cake he received as a present with his two hands. 'Shim Shim Ta Pa' worker explained the situation: "We recycled the ribbon that was on the cake and put it in Chansung's hair." And wrote, "A picture of Chansung with a flower, a picture hard to see. He participated in the most recent episode of SBS Strong Heart and shared a story about his married life, which included a explanation of him fighting with his wife because of a game. He also explained how he got to meet her, stating, “After Yoo Jae Suk introduced me to her, I fell in love straight away. 10 years ago, she was shy and pretty, but now she has turned into a carnivore,” leading to laughters around the studio. A picture of her wife was revealed on the episode, which surprised many people due to her good looks. Ji Suk Jin proudly mentioned, “She has been previously offered celebrity jobs, but she couldn’t do it because of her shyness. However, I believe she can be an action star now. | Super Junior: The 2nd Asia Tour Super Show 2 Posted: 18 May 2010 10:35 PM PDT
This concert was one of the much-anticipated concerts for 2010 and there's no need to ask why. Apart from it being a Super Junior concert, concert goers (K-Pop fans or not) saw a lot of new things that they could only see in live concerts of foreign artists. People who have watched concerts of Korean artists know that the stage set-up is something big and something to look out for; same is true with the Super Show 2 in Manila. The stage used for Super Show 2 is said to be the biggest indoor and outdoor stage ever built in the Philippines. The concert also used huge LED screens, hydraulics, revolving platforms and laser lights to much amazement of the fans.
The boys of Super Junior arrived in Manila last April 9, 2010 (Friday) with the exemption of Kang In, Han Kyung and Ki Bum. They were welcomed by their legion of fans at Ninoy Aquino International Airport. The boys of Super Junior went straight to EDSA Shang-Ri La Hotel, their home during their Manila stay, to rest. Around six in the evening of the same day, the boys had their rehearsals at Araneta Coliseum, the venue for the said concert. The Big Day – April 10, 2010 (Saturday) Super Junior had their first-ever press conference in the Philippines at the hotel and answered the questions raised by the media. The SuJu members shared their thoughts about the concert, the Philippines and their Filipino fans and about the members of the group before heading to the concert venue. The boys arrived at the concert venue at three in the afternoon. The gates of Araneta Coliseum opened at five. A few minutes past seven in the evening, the whole Araneta Coliseum was covered in pearl sapphire blue lights. Super Junior did not disappoint their Filipino (and foreign) fans, performing 37 songs including their chart-topping hits in the Philippines: “Sorry, Sorry,” “Super Girl,” “Neorago” and a music video of “Sorry, Sorry Answer.” The Super Show 2 started with their performance of a "Man in Love" followed by three other songs, then their introduction. Each member prepared their own cute introductions; some danced, ran around and even said "Mabuhay!" Shin Dong probably made the cutest introduction out of all the members. He went to the center, counted 1-10 in straight Filipino, took a paper out, read and said, "Ano ba yan?" (What's that?). Add to that very cute moment is Lee Teuk and Eun Hyuk saying "Ano ba yan?" as well. The members went on and performed their hits, had solo performances and sub-groups performances.
At some point in their "Shining Star" performance, fans witnessed their beloved SuJu members shedding tears (of happiness, definitely). Super Junior also made a special performance of "Puff the Magic Dragon", complete with cute costumes and they also cross-dressed for their own version of “Chu” by label-mate f(x). During the fun "Carnival" performance, the SuJu members were surprised to see fans holding on to their own water guns, joining them in their little game. After playing water guns with fans, the boys decided to collect and look at the gifts thrown by fans on stage. The three-hour super concert ended with the song "Marry U" with fans waving their white handkerchiefs and blue light sticks while singing along with Super Junior.

On his Twitter on May 18th, Jo Kwon uploaded a picture of him with Sunye, who came to Korea from the US for a little to promote their new song. Along with the picture, he also commented, "A friend I saw for the first time in a while. We cried today again because even though we don't say anything to each other, we know the other is going through a hard time. These tears aren't only the times we got through but also our hope and memories." The two are famous as the 'representatives of celebrity best friends' as they were friends since training times and even after their debuts, they continued to have a very special friendship. | Nam Gyuri, After School, ZE:A and more get together for Arena Homme+ Posted: 18 May 2010 10:19 PM PDT Recently, singer/actress Nam Gyuri joined in on the celebrity cheering for the 2010 World Cup. Nam Gyuri had a photoshoot with fashion magazine Arena Homme+, and fashion brand GUESS. This photoshoot is for their June issue and is in celebration for the World Cup. As well as Nam Gyuri, artists After School (Raina, Nana, and Lizzy), ZE:A, Epik High, Crying Nut, and actors Park Yong Woo and Lee Jung Jin, and MBC ESPN soccer casters joined in for this photoshoot. In this photoshoot, all the models sported Korean Red Devils t-shirts sponsored by GUESS and posed as cheerleaders for the national team. A representative of Arena Homme+ stated, “We were able to show their personalities with just the red shirts as our goal was to make it feel as if we were all one team cheering for one victory. Ever since his account had been made active, he has been tweeting some random stuff in English. However, he tweeted some photos today that fans will surely adore. Not only was 4minute’s new mini album, HUH Hit Your Heart, released today, but it is also member GaYoon’s birthday! Talk about a great birthday present! Main vocalist GaYoon celebrates her 20th birthday today! She joins many of her fellow 90’s idols in finally coming of age, including leader JiHyun who turned 20 back in January. 4minute has been very busy recently, doing promotions all over Asia and prepping for a Korean comeback. Their newest album shows a new, tougher side to the ladies and their comeback is highly anticipated. Their new music video is expected to be released soon, so stay tuned to Kpoplive! Hanteo Album Chart said on the 19th that by 13th from the day their album was officially released on the 13th, their 4th album has sold over 71,624 albums making a record for most albums sold in 5 days after its release. Super Junior’s 4th album has been the fastest selling album so far. Previously, girl group SNSD held the record for selling over 50,000 albums in a week but Super Junior broke the record selling over 70,000 in just 5 days. Strong sales are good sign for Super Junior also 1 big factor for the sales is the huge popularity of their title song “miinah” and also their masculine transformation which showed a huge hit as well as the strong dedication of fans for the comeback of Super Junior. SNSD’s leader TaeYeon and maknae SeoHyun have recently been cast as voice actresses in a new 3-D cartoon movie! The two girls will be lending their voices to the new animated movie, Superbad, known to American viewers as Despicable Me. The creators of this movie are also the masterminds behind the popular animated trilogy, Ice Age. Superbad revolves around three sisters and their adventures with their super villain dad, Gru.
TaeYeon has been cast as the eldest sister, Margo. Like TaeYeon herself, Margo is very talented and takes care of her two younger sisters all the time. SeoHyun voices the middle child, Edith. Unlike her older sister, Edith is the cute and playful troublemaker of the family. With TaeYeon currently performing in a musical and SeoHyun still going strong on We Got Married, its undeniable that these two SNSD members are more popular than ever. In the episode that aired on the 18th she said, “I love SNSD as well but I really have a lot of affection for KARA. When I look at Nicole, I get reminded of Ayumi. Seungyeon’s singing ability has improved so much.” I guess Nicole is like Ayumi because both are not fully fluent in Korean. This mini album has six tracks, including their song "Love Light" released earlier this month. "Love Light" was written by Jung YongHwa. "Let's Go Crazy" was released last year on their album Japanese mini album Now Or Never. This mini album is filled with enjoyable tracks that are easily put on repeat. We all know that BEAST is a multi-talented group can almost do anything, but who knew that leader DooJoon can be a loving father as well? BEAST’s leader, Yoon Doojoon was recently given the nickname of "heartwarming father" after he posted a picture of him with a cute little boy on his mini homepage. In the photo, he’s hugging the little boy tightly while both of them portrayed a cheerful and lively smile. Underneath, he put the caption, “This kid's identity will be revealed through B2ST Almighty."
You would expect a lot of fangirls to be raging, but instead, they commented, “I wish that I was that kid", "Because of Leader Oppa my heart goes Doojoon Doojoon", and "Since he is holding the kid like that, I feel more attracted to him," and many other praises. Who is this special adorable little boy and why is he with BEAST? All will be revealed through their reality show, ‘MTV B2ST Season 2-B2ST Almighty’ which airs every Saturday. I sure wish DooJoon was my dad for a day, wouldn’t that be fun? If you had the chance to have a BEAST member to be your father for a day, who would you want it to be? She said, “Two years ago, I was 147cm tall. I was shorter than Luna.” Now, Sulli is 169cm tall, which is above average for her age. She is also the tallest member in the group. Puberty has served her well. Sulli continued, “It’s been over five years since I’ve arrived in SM Entertainment. Super Junior saw me early on and then saw me again later when time had passed. They didn’t even recognize me because I grew taller.” Sulli has earned the nickname Sulovely because she has such a lovely face. Is the name so appropriate for her? Here’s a fun fact: The “Choi”s are the tallest members of SM Entertainment’s idol groups. Talk about a weird coincidence… Or is it?

| Shooting scene in MBLAQ’s Y MV to be deleted Posted: 18 May 2010 08:20 PM PDT MBLAQ released their anticipated music video for their newest title track Y the other day and it looks like the video is already getting warnings from MBC, KBS and SBS. The song is about revenge which is why there is a scene where Lee Joon’s character “shoots” his ex-girlfriend. Though you don’t hear the bullet nor see it completely, but just a quick flash of light that represents the shooting. You also see the gun more than a couple of times and you see the girl dead with a flash of blood. This isn’t all too bad but for Korean channels, it is. An associate of MBLAQ said, “The part with the gun in the music video is not going to aired on major channels. We are making a new version for those channels. We took out the part with the gun.” That part is the climax of the whole music video, and so it’s a shame that it’s getting edited out. But hey, there’s always Youtube to fall back on. After HaHa was discharged from military service in early March, he has gotten right to work on his comeback. His title song Liquor Bottle features talented Tiger JK, in which they will also be featured in the music video together.
