TVXQ’s Junsu and SS501’s Kim Hyun Joong form MEN celebrity soccer team

It was revealed that TVXQ’s Junsu, Jaejoong and Yoochun have recently set up a soccer team called MEN and their players also include SS501’s Kim Hyun Joong, Kim Bum, Song Joong Ki among others.

It’s known that Junsu and Hyun Joong have been the moving force towards creating this soccer team and the former will also become the team’s captain.

Junsu and Hyun Joong are famed for having a deep affection for the sport. Junsu had formed a soccer team back in 2006 with other SME singers while Hyun Joong have been spotted playing soccer many times with friends. Hyun Joong even went for the El Classico game in April while working in Spain.

The formation of this pretty boys soccer team has generated a lot of interest, whose looks can certainly attract an army of female fans to support them during matches. There are plans to enter the team into the celebrities football league next time and also participate in public service activities.

SNSD’s Seohyun’s recent weight gain ranks as the hot topic on various online sites! As seen through the photos of before and after above, it is difficult to familiarize her mature and pure image in the latter photo.

Fans who have seen these photos have commented, “Her cheeks have become chubby,” “She must’ve been tired. Her skin doesn’t look good as it was before,” “I don’t know where but I think her face changed.” Several fans have went on to defend Seohyun by saying, “She did not look like that during the dream concert or on the latest shows. Why make a big fuss over her slight weight gain?”

Honestly, I just think that that photo was an unfortunate one captured of her. Even if she did gain weight, at least it shows that she is eating properly and being healthy.

Brown Eyed Girls member Jea and talented comedian Shin Bong Sun recently took a cute picture together.

On May 30th, Jea updated her minihompy with a picture of the two of them and titled the photo “Twitter Friend Bong Sun.” The singer met Bong Sun during filming for MBC variety show We Got Married and regretfully revealed, “We only took a picture and then had to quickly leave.”

She also added, “Everyone on Twitter is talking about how pretty Bong Sun is. How about me?” addressing fans in a cute manner.

Netizens commented, “Wow, Bong Sun is becoming more and more pretty,” “I didn’t know it was Bong Sun” and “It is nice to see the both of them working hard.”

It’s local elections day in South Korea today and among the millions of voters is SNSD’s Yoona who just celebrated her Coming of Age day and her 21st birthday.

Yoona arrived at the polling station in Yeongdeungpo-gu at 1pm on June 2nd, clad in a navy blue jacket and skinny jeans.

She expressed about voting for the first time in her life, “I am very nervous because it’s my first time. But I feel like a real adult.” Let’s now see her voting process.

8-member girl group After School has confirmed that they will be promoting as sub-units this June.

Their company Pledis Entertainment announced, "After School will gradually release albums as two three-member groups and a solo unit. They will also enter individual promotional activities."

Though they cannot reveal yet which members will be forming the groups, a Pledis official stated, "They will not only be showing the usual sexy and powerful image of After School, they will also be doing a completely different concept."

Member UEE, who is currently busy filming her new drama, will not be a part of the said promotions.

Siwon and Donghae tweet about Dream Team Season 2 recording

A new recording for Dream Team Season 2 was underway today and is probably still being recorded. And thanks to Super Junior’s Siwon and Donghae who updated their Twitters today, we now know that they will be appearing on an upcoming episode which will probably air soon.

On June 2nd, Siwon uploaded a picture (see top) together with Donghae and Dream Team regular, SHINee’s Minho, and said, “Dream Team! HAHAHA!”

Slightly later, Donghae also uploaded a picture but this time including Eunhyuk and wrote, “This is Tuksum at Konkook University, ^^ with Dream Team, come quick ^^ come watch, SuJu Dream Team special!!! Come to Konkook University!

And just to let you know, Shindong, Sungmin, Yesung and Leeteuk will also be on the same episode. Not sure what Ryeowook is doing, but Kyuhyun and Heechul were spotted at the polling stations this afternoon at 2pm.

But when I'm singing about scars that love can leave there are a lot of times when I imagine, 'it could be like this.' Even during 'Only Look at Me' I had to sing sorrowfully without having such experience. I just sang with a 'I really love you' feeling."

He is of the worrisome and opportunity-filled age of 22. With his calmness and seriousness, he gives thought to every step forward that he takes. His genuine and honest words, without any know-it-all conceit or senselessness, feels rather more trustworthy.

Rainbow’s Seung Ah and Jisook to become MCs

Girl group Rainbow hasn’t been too active on the k-pop scene as whole, but two members will soon be appearing regularly on television as MCs for an upcoming entertainment news program Soon Bahl Le.

This news program will deal mainly in entertainment news focusing on idols and other celebrities in the media. Seung Ah and Jisook will be hosting the show as regular MCs every Saturday and have already recorded their first episode.

There is a lot of interest in popular stars that are to attend the 5th regional voting where the votes are taken place at the same time nation-wide.

SNSD's Yoona (20), 4Minute's Huh Gayoon (20), Shinee's Onew (21) and Jonghyun (20), and 2PM's Chansung (20) are scheduled to attend an event to show their votes.

On this voting day, these first-time voter idols will be in various polling stations in Seoul and Kyungkido.

Super ChangDdaEe is the composer and lyricist for T-Max's new song 'Don't Be Rude' off their upcoming 1st full length album 'Born To The Max'. The MV teaser was released on 1st June, and fans get a sneakpeek into the song with strong beats and electronic sound.


Another song which was revealed beforehand on 28th May, titled 'Can Do For Me', is also composed by Super ChangDdaEe. This composer is known for composing previous hits like 2PM 'I Hate You', 'Tired Of Waiting' and 2AM 'Sorry I Can't Smile For You'. With a hit maker roped in for their new album, T-Max also undergo transformation into a 4-member pretty boy group with new members Joo ChanYang and Park HaBi joining the group recently, as well as trying a new genre of music for their comeback.

2PM, 4minute, SHINee, SNSD and other idol group members vote for the first time

Many in Korea are headed for the polling station to cast their vote as it’s local election day, but the names that caught the eyes of most were members from popular idol groups like 2PM, 4minute, SHINee, SNSD and more!

On this day, one or two, three members from these groups came out and voiced their nationalism as they took part in the election process for the very first time.

The idols include 2PM’s Chansung, 4minute’s Gayoon, SHINee’s Jonghyun and Onew, with SNSD’s Sunny, Yoona and Yuri rounding up the basic lineup.

Gayoon and Chansung were the first to appear at separate voting stations this morning. Chansung was looking bright and smiling, seemingly cured from his gastroenteritis illness. Gayoon meanwhile spotted a bandage over her right eye, citing an injury but still turned up sportingly in person to vote for the first time.

Yoona arrived at around 1pm and said, “It was more nerve wrecking than my first live performance. For a few weeks now, I’ve been looking over policies and such very carefully with my parents. I feel patriotic and happy for participating in this event.”

Sunny who voted at 3pm also shared her thoughts, “I’m really happy about this election because SNSD got to sing for it. I’ve come along way for my first vote and with that in mind, I will be more conscious of our nation’s politics.”

Of course the idols mentioned above are not the only ones to have participated in the election and were just the names that made headlines. Other idol members who cast their first ever ballot were Hyoyeon and Sooyoung from SNSD, all members of Secret and 2NE1’s badass leader CL.

Han Jang Hee, member of the foxy duo…Foxy, recently visited the Philippines and held a photoshoot with the concept name “Elf Girl” for Star Hwabo!

This is one of her most popular viral nicknames next to “World Cup Girl”. The World Cup nickname derives from the 2006 World Cup event where a random passerby took her picture and uploaded it onto the net and caused a widespread craze. The nickname “Elf Girl” comes from the fact that her facial features resemble mystical woodland creatures known as elves.

For the photoshoot, Han Jang Hee is dressed in a variety of three different outfits. In two of the photos, she’s wearing a beautiful salmon colored satin dress, giving her a more innocent and graceful appearance. Like the good friend she is, Goo Hye Sun was recently spotted at a baseball stadium, cheering on her good friend Kim Joon at a baseball game for Invincible Baseball.

Goo Hye Sun and Kim Joon go way back to Boys Over Flowers. Kim Joon always looked like he wasn’t as close as the other cast members but I guess that was a wrong assumption.

Indeed, the chicken battle is on! SS501’s Kim HyunJoong joins the fight with his endorsement for Hotsun Chicken.

Although the full CF hasn’t been released yet, a behind-the-scenes video was! SS501’s beloved leader comes out with a mask and a black cape just like the phantom of the opera. He sports black eyeliner and his hair also takes on a fierce and masculine look. From the video, it appears that the CF will be of Kim HyunJoong holding an appetizing chicken drumstick while three beautiful ladies are surrounding him.

Park Jin Hee was the first to vote at 6AM

It’s election time in Korea so what does that mean? Campaigning and voting! And among the first to vote was actress Park Jin Hee as she revealed that she was up and early at six in the morning to vote!

It was quite impressive of her to get up so early but then again, Korea tends to have trucks outside your homes blaring loud music for the campaign that it’s hard to even get any sleep. But Park Jin Hee did it to encourage everyone to vote and even showed a picture of her at the voting booth in her full natural makeup-less beauty.

Park Jin Hee uploaded the photo above onto her Twitter account saying, “This morning’s 6AM look!” as she posed with a thumbs up and her driver’s license. Fans also took notice on how young she looks in her photo credentials.

The actress is currently acting in SBS’s Giant and will also be making a small cameo in the movie 71-Into The Fire, and share a scene with Big Bang’s T.O.P.

2PM member Chansung has voted for the first time since turning 20. On the 2nd at 11 PM, Chansung appeared at Eungbong Elementary School and voted and came out after about 10 minutes.

Chansung wore a comfortable outfit of jeans and a gray checkered hunting cap and appeared at the polling station with a bright smile.

Chansung met with Money Today Star News and expressed a bit of disappointment, stating, "It's my first time voting so it was hard choosing. I should've studied more." When asked who he voted for, he gave a childish smile and exited.

At the same time, 2PM member Junho is also voting for the first time ever in Ilsan. Taecyeon and Wooyoung will be voting in Mokdong and Cheongdamdong.

Nichkhun Gives His ‘Strong Heart’ Away to his Ideal Girl

Nichkhun of 2PM graced the studio of SBS 'Strong Heart' and was asked by Kang Hodong to pick an ideal woman out of the available panelists.

Explaining that he holds a preference for older women, Nichkhun chose Yoomin.

Excited by Nichkhun's proclamation, Jung Joori immediately stood up and earnestly asked, "Does that mean [that] I have a chance too?!" Such a request resulted in many complaints around the studio from all of the other guests, despite the fact that Joori was most likely only asking lightheartedly – though considering the popularity of our Thai Prince amongst the girls, there was probably some seriousness in her question as well.

To emphasize his affections for Yoomin, Nichkhun said a few short – but sweet – words to her: "I hope to see you more often in the future. Yoomin-ssi, fighting! Have strength." Kang Hodong then turned to Yoomin, who was present at the show, and asked if she'd enjoyed Nichkhun's message to her. Naturally, the lucky lady stated, "Yes, I like Nichkhun."

Difference Between SNSD and Wonder Girls

We know of the healthy rivalry between Wonder Girls and SNSD. In the recent episode of Win Win, Park KyungLim appeared as guest and explains the difference between these two groups.
KyungLim expresses that, “if SNSD is a café in Europe, Wonder Girls is like a teahouse in Insadong.” She also revealed her encounter with Wonder Girls’ leader, SunYe, that made a deep impression on her. KyungLim states that when she met SunYe at a broadcasting station, they went out to eat at a restaurant. She adds, “I was going to pay, but SunYe paid 2 seconds before me. After that, when I met her for a radio program, her facial expression was like seeing my mom. I feel that we’ve become extremely close.”

Sohee and Yoobin also had their moment with KyungLim. KyungLim invited the girls for ice cream once since they looked hot. Inside the store, KyungLim told the girls to pick whatever they liked and Sohee asked if she could get the $0.70 ice cream. Upon hearing Sohee’s question, Yoobin slowly puts down her $0.50 ice cream to grab a $0.70 one. KyungLim’s story caused much laughter in the set.

KyungLim then adds on how much Wonder Girls treats her as a family. She claims that, “When I saw them a while later, other than the fact that we never lived together, they treated me like family. They have lots of affection.”

Each group is different in their own ways and each celebrities experienced lovely meetings between these two top girl-groups. Apparently, SNSD is a cafe while Wonder Girls is a teahouse, agree?

ZE:A to launch their Asia Tour in Yokohama, Japan

It looks like rookie boy group ZE:A will now officially be going international! The boys will be flocking all over Asia to join the infamous Hallyu wave, starting from Japan.

ZE:A will leave on June 2nd for a performance in Yokohama and Osaka, on top of a ceremony to launch their official Japanese fan club.

To make their trip to Japan much productive, ZE:A will also be doing many other activities in addition to the concerts, including a release of their remix track, LOVE COACH. Also, the boys will be partaking in a photo shoot with a well-known photographer, Leslie Kee. We wish the boys best of luck for their Asia tour!

Former Five Girls leader Gina Choi to make her solo debut

Former Five Girls leader Gina Choi had an unsuccessful mishap early on in her k-pop career but now she’s bouncing back with her solo debut!

You might recognize most, if not all, of the girls in the picture above. Why is that? That’s because the four girls in the photo now belong to massively popular girl groups; Wonder Girls member Yubin, Secret’s Hyosung, T-ara’s Jiwon (has since left) and After School’s UEE.

These girls were all once a part of Five Girls, a female girl group under Good Entertainment. Unfortunately, many new k-pop fanatics may be unaware of this fact because their debut never quite happened due to financial problems with their entertainment company and they just disbanded in 2008.

Each member has gone on to have successful careers in different girl groups except Gina Choi and Jiwon who left T-ara in the beginning era.

And unlike her other members, she will not be joining a girl group and will instead be branching out into her own path as a solo artist. Gina is currently signed under Cube Entertainment, home to big name idol groups like 4minute and BEAST.

On the 2nd a representative revealed, “Gina Choi is currently in the process of recording her solo track. If things go as planned, she will release her solo album at the end of this month and will officially begin promotions.”

No More ‘Juniors’ in Super Junior?

Actress Kim JiYoung recently guest on SBS’ Strong Heart in which she reprimanded Super Junior’s Leeteuk.

The episode focuses on people’s strange hobbies and Kim JiYoung’s explains that her stranger hobbies are not strange, but rather her own cute preference. While explaining her thoughts, Leeteuk butts in and asked JiYoung, “Didn’t you write that?”

In response, JiYoung states, “How dare you butt in while an elder is talking?” which causes laughter in the set. She immediately apologized for her remark and admitted that she is a Super Junior fan. JiYoung adds, “I’m sorry. I’m actually a fan, and wanted to say something to him.”

Kang HoDong further explains to JiYoung that Leeteuk is Super Junior’s leader. Being a fan herself, JiYoung answers that she knew that fact and states, “I’m aware of that. But are they still juniors?” erupting more laughter in the studio.

With Super Junior’s new, masculine concept, would you consider them ‘juniors’ still?

Taecyeon’s ‘Love Song’ for Yoona

…And the Taecyeon-Yoona courtship continues! During the 'School Trip Special' of SBS Family Outing, the 2PM rapper was lent fellow artist Rain's stage clothing used for his promotions of ‘Love Song’ and danced the accompanying steps to the hit song. After this sexy, abs-filled performance, Taecyeon got down on his knees next to Yoona and did an ab-wave dance, causing much jealousy amongst the other female members left to watch this courtship.

During this episode, Heechul of Super Junior also attempted to catch the attention of his favorite girl, Wonder Girls' Sohee, by playing the piano and serenading her through singing a song. 2AM's Jokwon in turn acted like himself, creating a kkap version of 'Vogue Girl' for Lee Junghyun, which created a much more humorous atmosphere in contrast to the effects of Taecyeon's and Heechul's performances.

Such an entertaining episode could not possibly be broadcast in a single episode, as viewers may faint from the excitement. Instead, this show was separated into two different episodes with the first broadcast on May 30th followed by the second on June 6th, which will surely bring feelings of anticipation and excitement to fans of the show.
