[News] Dream Concert Flooded With Colours.

Although we all know the Dream Concert in Korea took place a few days ago, fans outside of Korea are finally able to witness the exciting event. With live streaming everywhere, everyone is now able to experience the concert. While watching it myself, the many difference colours of balloons and lightsticks have managed to catch my attention.

It's really good to see how supportive each fandoms are, with lots of cheers and chants. It's also great to see the difference banners hanging up everywhere to show the fan's love. In the picture below, you can see the vast amount of SONEs and ELFs that have rocked up to support their idols. It's a truly amazing sight isn't it?

I know we all wish we could have been there ourselves to cheer them on.. but who knows? Maybe one day, some of us will be lucky enough to go to a dream concert event! But for now.. dream concerts will only remain in our 'dreams'.

Congratulations to every idol/group for their wonderful performances and all their efforts they have put into the preparations ?

[NEWS] BEAST to go on a ‘1 Night 2 Day’ vacation!

Idol group BEAST is off to a 1 night 2 days trip with their fans.

BEAST is going to have a special time at a resort in Kyoungbook on May 29th and May 30th for the event '1 Night & 2 Day with BEAST.'

Focusing on fan service, this event was planned beyond the average scale and planned for a long time. The way to win for this event was special also.

In the BEAST 2nd mini album, there were polaroid pictures the members took of themselves as they called it the 'Card of Luck' to attend the 1 Night 2 Daytrip.

Many fans with different cases, whether they're fans in Korea or international fans whom bought the album overseas, join together to spend a meaningful time with BEAST in one place.

BEAST said, "This is our first time going on a trip with our fans, so we're really nervous. It's disappointing that not all of our fans are able to go with us but we hope to make good memories with them."

Meanwhile, BEAST recently succeeded in closing their promotions for their 2nd album as they're on variety programs and preparing for their overseas promotion.

Envy of those lucky fans? Be prepare, as BEAST will be have their overseas promotion!

Recently, Myx Philippines we'll be having their first ever "Fans' Choice Awards 2010". The group Super Junior is one of the nominated in some of the categories like song of the year, artist of the year, male artist of the year and music video artist.

MBC's 'Sunday Sunday Night – Hot Brothers' gained a lot of attention through their 2nd episode as they will be showing the finale to the avatar blind date with 'The Losers Strike Back.'

Last week, Lee Kikwang made Tak Jaehoon upset by rebelling from his commands, but changed into a collaborative avatar after meeting his new owner.

In attempting to achieve the mission by 200%, Lee Kikwang has changed completely in becoming an overall avatar as he compelled to whatever his owner commanded. The word is that Kikwang struggled to complete the missions. The new owner commanded him "Take out the carbon from the soda" and "Gain their promise that they'll date you" as the shocking commands made Kikwang crumble.

It's been roughly two weeks since Super Junior's 4th album has been released and now, it's hitting music charts like crazy. According to Hanteo (Korean music website), Super Junior has reached and pretty much secured it's spot as number one album. Following Super Junior is 4minute with their album 'Hit Your Heart' and Rain with his latest album 'Back to The Basic'.

The skinship between 'Adam Couple' and 'YongSeo couple' on We Got Married garners interests amongst TV viewers and fans.

On the episode of MBC We Got Married 2 aired on 29th May, the Adam Couple was featured on their trip to Hong Kong while the YongSeo couple was featured going on a date for '22Day'.

For the Adam Couple, they did a parade in Hong Kong, and in their free time, they had toured around the city and had really resembled a newly wed on a sweet trip together. And Jo Kwon also received a chocolate kiss from GaIn. Also Jo Kwon was seen gazing affectionately at GaIn's face and the 2 had enjoyed some skinship during the trip like holding hands and resting of the head on each other's shoulders.

American-born KPOP R&B singer Lena Park,  (Park Jeong-Hyeon) has graduated magna cum laude from New York’s prestigious Ivy League Columbia University with a degree in English and Comparative Literature. Not only a fabulous singer, but now a graduate of a leading institution of higher education WITH HONORS? What can’t she do??!

Before debuting in Korea, Park studied at UCLA; during her sophomore year (1998), she made her debut as a singer in Korea and therefore discontinued her studies. In 2006 she transferred to Columbia University, moving back and forth between the U.S. and Korea for her studies and to maintain her singing career in Korea and Japan. You know, no big deal. NOT!

The 34-year-old, who was nicknamed the “Mariah Carey of Korea,” also enjoyed the honor of singing the Star Spangled Banner at her commencement festivities-the first time in 10 years for a student to sing the national anthem, as well as the first time ever for a student of Asian descent. Oh COME ON! Next thing you know we’ll find out she’s dating one of Korea’s most eligible bachelors!!!

All my jealousy aside, a huge CONGRATULATIONS is in order for the KPOP and college superstar. It takes a lot for anyone to pursue higher education, but to do so after debuting as a popstar and when you’re 10 years older than your peers, takes not only a lot of hard work, but also a huge amount of determination and guts, so I commend her specially for that as well.

With her new degree under her belt, Park has decided to come back to the industry it seems:

“As I have finally graduated from school, now I will focus on my singing career. I will return to my job as a singer this coming fall,” she was quoted as saying by her agency.

So from popstar, to student back to popstar? Sounds awesome. And it sounds like Lena Park is living the dream.

For all the SB readers out there who have just graduated from college or high school, or who will be doing so in the near future, CONGRATULATIONS to you all and keep Lena’s story in mind-sometimes it seems dreams really do come true! All it takes is a little (or a lot of!) hardwork and a dream.

The 2010 MTV WORLD STAGE Video Music Awards Japan (MTV WS VMAJ)  were held today in Tokyo at Yoyogi National Stadium.

Big Bang, who debuted in the Land of the Rising Sun merely a year ago, was nominated for 2 group awards-“Best  New Artiste Video Award” and “Best Pop Video Award”, as well as a nod for G-Dragon’s collaboration with JPOP group W-inds in the category for “Best Collaboration” for the song “Rain is Falling”.

To everyone’s big surprise (well, this blog writer’s at least) Big Bang nabbed all three awards!! Although we have all heard that Big Bang was doing well in Japan, and the Japanese audiences have been receptive of the boys’ music and promotions, it seems like these awards really cement their status in the world of JPOP. Now, I think YG and the boys should sit back, relax, rake in the Yen, and call it a day-Big Bang’s debut in Japan has been a huge success.

Supporting the group and appearing with them in a performance were their hoobaes- KPOP girlgroup 2NE1. I’m sure the girls were thrilled for the BB wins, and perhaps, an official Japanese debut for 2NE1 is in the near future? One can only guess, but for now, I say celebrate Big Bang-you all deserve it! (And TOP, please eat something. You look terribly emaciated. Seriously… although you look mighty handsome in that tailored suit and those brogues, I miss the days when you were rough around the edges, totally thug, and bigger than Seungri and Taeyang. I hope you go back to that soon…or just gain a little weight.)

Who Kissed Nichkhun?

On the May 29 broadcast of SBS‘ Star King, a legless American wrestler named Dustin Pal was featured.

2PM’s Nichkhun attempted to do push ups above the wrestler and succeeded, showing  his great strength. MC Kang Hodong wanted to join in the fun, beckoning Nichkhun to try to do push ups on him.

Unfortunately, Kang Hodong couldn’t hold Nichkhun up any longer. Nichkhun’s head fell on Kang Hodong’s face, making it appear that Nichkhun and Kang Hodong were kissing in a scene similar to the SBS weekend drama, Life is Beautiful. Shortly after, the watching entertainers lifted Nichkhun off of Kang Hodong, preventing anything worse from happening.

Big Bang Wins Big At MTV Video Music Awards Japan!

Big Bang recently attended the MTV Video Music Awards Japan and they definitely did not leave disappointed!

While the boys have been relatively absent in Korea for the past few months, they’ve been making huge waves in Japan. At the 2010 VMAJ’s, Big Bang won not one, but three awards!

They won the ‘Best New Artist Video’ for Gara Gara Go.
