It won’t be for very long, but Korean Wonderfuls will see their lady idols once again, not only on the variety shows but the stage. The Wonder Girls will be performing and promoting ‘2 Different Tears’ on kpop tv starting the 20th, first on Mnet’s M Countdown, then KBS Music Bank on the 21st, MBC Music Core on the 22nd along with an appearance at the 2010 Dream Concert which, by the way will be aired in place of Inkigayo that week as well. Of course, let’s not forget the tour next month! As an American, it’s strange that I’m more excited to see them on KBS than in Washington D.C., but then again, hasn’t kpop warped us all? | Wonder Girls reveal their hectic promotional schedule in Korea Posted: 16 May 2010 11:33 PM PDT Having released their new song, 2 Different Tears this past weekend and having a successful album launch party, the Wonder Girls has returned home to Korea as they pursue a hectic promotional schedule for the next 2 weeks. Almost immediately after concluding their album launch party, the girls were on the plane back home and reached Seoul on the 17th where they will begin filming for the latest episode Family Outing 2 after touching down. The episode will be shown in early June and marks Kim Heechul’s first recording as a fixed member. The Wonder Girls will be performing on music shows from May 20th – 22nd starting with M! Countdown and followed by Music Bank, Music Core. They are also scheduled to perform at the 2010 Dream Concert on the 22nd as well. For fans who can’t make it to the stadium, they can catch the delayed broadcast the following day on the 23rd through SBS. The telecast will take over the usual broadcast of Inkigayo which is pre-empted this Sunday. The Wonder Girls will also be recording KBS2TV’s Win Win on the 20th and this will be aired the following week on the 25th. We can expect more than those already listed as the Wonder Girls have received lots of program invitations and are working out the schedule before confirming anything. A JYP Entertainment representative expressed, “The Wonder Girls and fans have showed a lot of enthusiasm regarding the girls promotions this time because it’s been a long while. There’s been a buzz throughout the internet as pictures have surfaced of SNSD’s maknae, Seohyun, attending university! Seohyun is currently a theater major at Dongkook University as a member of the Class of 2010 (in Korea, your class year is the year you enter school), and a classmate released these pictures. The original netizen who posted these pictures wrote, “She’s been working hard in school… I’ve gathered some pictures of her during her time at university.” In the pictures, you can see Seohyun carrying her lunch tray, studying in class, signing autographs, and taking pictures with some a fan.
Netizens commented, “Her beauty shines wherever she is,” and, “It looks like Seohyun’s gonna work ’til she drops.” I don’t know how she gets her work done, though. With the first broadcast slated for May 17th, SBS Coffee House received a special surprise on May 16th when all the members of T-ara surprised the staff and actors with a little prayer ceremony. Since T-ara’s leader, EunJung, is cast as one of the shows lead actresses, T-ara found it no problem to find time to pray for the drama’s success. All the members, excluding EunJung, woke up in the wee hours of morning and put together ?50,000 (about US$44) to buy party supplies, fruits, rice cakes, and other snacks for the staff. EunJung and the other actors and staff were said to be very touched by this nice gesture. T-ara didn’t forget to take plenty of pictures, and they scribbled cute decor around them to share with their fans! The girls said, “We first got the idea on Saturday night at 10:00PM, and we woke up on the next morning at 7:00AM, put together our money, and shopped around the market for this and that for the ceremony before we surprised the Coffee House filming site. We prayed for the drama’s success.” Talk about a strong team bond!

On the episode of SBS ‘Sunday is Good Part 1 – Family Outing 2′ (A.k.a. ‘FO2′) aired the previous 16th, it showed the adventures of family members Kim Wonhee, Ji Sangryul, Yoon Sanghyun, Shin BongSun, Taecyeon, JoKwon, and Yoona at KangWonDo, Yanggu District, Nam-Myun, Dochon-Ri, Village BaGgop (Belly Button), where a navy unit is located. On this day’s episode, it showed the family’s struggles to arrange a morale-boosting concert for the navy unit, who said that there hasn’t been a concert for them during the 63 years inwhich they were operating. Especially on this episode, a question that was related with the military was directed at Ok Taecyeon, making him flushed, garnered attention from viewers. The family became excited upon riding a military truck for the first time to be transported to the navy unit. Ok Taecyeon and JoKwon, with the other family members, scrutinized the truck with curious eyes, saying “Really, I’ve never rode this before”. During this process, Yoona made a surprise statement towards Ok Taecyeon and JoKwon, saying “You oppas are going to ride it soon anyway”. | Posted: 16 May 2010 10:42 PM PDT With the passing of Adult’s Day in Korea, a day celebrating the passage of teens to adults, it was revealed that three of the members of girl group Secret had also celebrated the day and had some thoughts to share. Members Sunhwa, Ji Eun, Zinger with the exception of leader, Hyosung (a year older), were all born in 1990 and have turned/will be turning 20 this year. In Korea, this is the age where you are officially viewed as a full fledged adult. So how do the members feel about their recent passage into the adult realm?
Sunhwa said, “Now that I’m a real adult, I kind of like the idea but hate it at the same time. As much as I’ve grown, I’ve got to act accordingly. I want to meet with my friends and gossip while drinking, but now I can’t as much, so I feel a bit sad.” Ji Eun said, “It doesn’t feel like I’m an adult yet. But I think I’m realizing the responsibilities that come with being grown up. I will work hard to show a more mature side of me through music and my own humanity.” Finally, Zinger said, “Because everyone has congratulated me for my success, I feel grown up. I don’t want to live a linear life but instead roll through it now.”
Though they all have different thoughts on their new found maturity, they all agreed that they wanted boyfriends as their Adult’s Day gifts. Of course no one would ever reject these beautiful gals but what with their company on their case all the time, perhaps they could get “secret” boyfriends.

Miss Big Bang as much as I do? Well, they’re back…kinda. Check out their Godfather-inspired MV for their Japanese single, ‘Tell Me Goodbye.’ It’s a gangster epic – G-Dragon is a lovelorn alcoholic, Daesung sings in the rain, Seungri is a morally conflicted detective, TOP is a priest/mob boss (?) and Taeyang….is a really hot guy. Also, TOP, there are very few things about you I would complain about but I better not see that hair for the Korean comeback. It’s nicely shot as well, so even non-fans of Big Bang might want to give this MV a peak. No related posts.

Ahead of their impending comeback with their second mini-album, Blue Love, CN Blue experienced an odd setback: the leaking of their album’s jacket cover. A representative from their agency, FNC Music, commented, “Ahead of their comeback, CN Blue’s jacket cover was leaked twice so we had to re-shoot and modify the concept.” The photos released on the 17th were filmed in an amusement park. The boys are all picture in white suits, with sharp blue accents. In the original album jacket, the boys are all seen excitedly riding in an amusement park ride. This picture (displayed above) was leaked back in April, and fans had thought that it was simply a picture for a fashion magazine shoot. On the contrary, it turned out to be the concept jacket cover for the group’s second album. FNC Music hid their surprise at this turn-of-events, and they quickly covered up by re-shooting the album cover. The company’s representative continued, “We had finished filming and were in the process of working on the pictures, but we were taken aback to see that the pictures were leaked online.” Further investigation into this situation revealed that this was the result of hacking from a foreign IP address. There’s no information yet if any action was taken, but it’s not all bad news. Their second product looks just as good as the first!

As we earlier reported, this track was was made for IRIS’s Japanese OST. A few years back, Big Bang debuted with a hip hop concept, and has since experimented with more eccentric and colorful styles in recent years. This time around, we get to see all five members mature for a dark, vintage look (including TOP with gray hair!) which perfectly fits the grim atmosphere. On a recent episode of Family Outing 2, the family took a trip to an army base in Kang Won Do. The family happily enjoyed their visit in the military base as viewers can see them enjoying a ride on a military truck. TaecYeon and JoKwon even commented that “This is really our first time riding this”. However, as much as the family was excited, Taecyeon was seen flustered the whole time. What’s the reason behind this? Singer Sung SiKyung has been discharged from his military duties after serving for 22 months. His fans really waited long for this moment! In the photo shoot, the members are shown with heavy smoky makeup and a chic expression to show off a bad boy image. CNBLUE’s maknae member Lee Jung Shin said in an interview regarding their new album, “Like the first album, this album has a punky rock feel, but there are also fresh songs that match with the summer season. It is overall very bright and clear.” Leader Jung Yonghwa added, “It [album] consists of songs that are easy and rhythmical so they are good to sing along to. Moreover, because we have personally composed and wrote some of these songs, this album is more precious to us,” showing a particular affection for their new album. About how they became sudden stars soon after releasing the first album I’m A Loner back in January, Jung Yonghwa responded, “I still don’t think the album went well. Although the first start was very good, our goal is for the band culture in Korea to be stable and loved through us.” When Yonghwa was asked what he does for leisure during his spare time, he replied unexpectedly, “I received a lot of influence lately from wife Seohyun so I’ve been reading a lot of books.” Jung Yonghwa and SNSD’s Seohyun are a make-believe couple on the MBC reality show We Got Married.

During the filming of KBS JOY ‘Idol League’ that will be aired on the coming May 18th, Kiseop took part in the ‘Catch A Mouse’ game that was made popular by the past variety program ‘Heroine 6′. During the game, they had to put 500 won, 100 won and 50 won coins into their nose, which is something bizarre and daring for idols to do. The two MCs, Eun Jiwon and Moon Hee Jun, took the challenge first by putting a 500 won into their nose. However, both of them gave up due to the pain. For the penalty, Kiseop has to put 500 won coins into both of his nostrils, showing a side of him that hasn’t been shown before, which made the crew and the members burst into laughing. | T-ara members visit Eunjung at Coffee House filming site Posted: 16 May 2010 08:48 PM PDT T-ara has made a surprise visit to see their leader, Eunjung at the filming site of her drama, Coffee House recently. On the 16th, the members visited the film site to support Eunjung and prayed for Coffee House to be a big hit. That day, T-ara members went to the market and each used their own allowance money in order to buy rice cakes, snacks, foods, and other party materials. After purchasing, the girls went to an empty filming set and held a small traditional ceremony there with actors, actresses, and drama staffs members.
The affiliated drama crew and personnel were all surprised over T-ara’s unexpected visit, and the girl group used a camera to take pictures of the moment. Although actor Kang Ji Hwan and PD Pyo Min Soo were at first a bit flustered over the girls’ visit, the atmosphere soon became friendly. It is said that Eunjung teared after seeing how much work and time the rest of the T-ara members sacrificed for her. Meanwhile, Coffee House is a pro-drama about hot passionate individuals that will make viewers who watch the drama feel just as passionate. The first episode of this drama airs on the 17th so be sure to catch it! It’s always nice when idol group members visit one another to cheer and provide support. I remember when Big Bang did a similar event like T-ara where they visited member T.O.P at his filming site for the drama I Am Sam.

Since the 14th, Super Junior has stayed on top at the album counting site Hanteo Information system’s day chart. On 14th, they showed their power by selling 6,000 in a day. Super Junior’s 4th album sales numbers are the fastest and the most biggest numbers among singers this year. Super Junior’s management company SM Entertainment said, “Because the pre-sale orders reached 200000, we had foreseen it somewhat. With international fans’ order sales continuously rising, we believe that the album sales will rise more as the promotion activity continues.” Super Junior’s new song is a song where fast beats matched with repeating hooks mix well with the dance that expresses each member’ characteristics. 4Minute is continuing the comeback preparations with a teaser and GASP it features BEAST?! I admit, I watched mostly because I have some major jealousy issues but found that for once I am digging 4minute’s concept. The tough girl act suits them and the song had got some power to it. My eyes are just grateful we have left behind the pattern assault from their earlier looks. Fans took some photos of the other members showing Tae Yeon’s musical some support.However,some sharp eyes fans pointed out that Seo Hyun’s skins was so dark compared to before. So some speculated that it was caused by too much exposure to hot sun during the filming of Carribean CF. On the 17th, KBS said over a phone interview that the song was indirectly advertising for SBS and they have made the decision that it is inappropriate for broadcast in KBS. Meanwhile, MBC has made “Were with you” available for broadcast. MBC said that the song and the lyrics did not seem to have any problems to be considered inappropriate and after consideration and discussions it was considered possible to be on broadcast. But still, since the music used SBS’s world cup campaign song they will be reviewing this further and perhaps SBS will be reconsidering this issue. The Wonder Girls had a successful launching event for their album last May 16 in the United States in LA. Park Jun Young also appeared on stage and also celebrity blogger Perez Hilton was there and was the MC for the event. The “2DT” music video was released and after that they performed it live. They also performed ‘tell me’, ’so hot’ and ‘nobody’. Perez Hilton had a lot of fun talking to the fans and being the MC for the event. Wonder Girls received hot reaction all over the world. Korean fans gathered at the CGV theater where the live stream was being showed. 2am and 2pm also despite their busy schedule dropped by and said their thank you’s to the fans for their support. Also, the “Two two dance” is becoming an instant hit. In Thailand, the live stream was shown through www.mcot.net, many of the fans of wonder girls woke up early in the morning in order to celebrate Wonder Girls comeback. For the launching event in Thailand, Nichkhun’s brother Nichan was the MC for the event where there was a live stream provided through a studio, also the wonder girls and Park Jin Young gave their greetings from LA. JYP Entertainment said, “The wonder girls launching event is the world’s first ever attempt for a worldwide live launch event ever, It showed that Wonder Girls is greatly loved by fans all over the world through the support they have shown”. Meanwhile, Wonder Girls has arrived in Korea today May 17 in the morning and will be staying for 2 weeks in Korea for domestic activities before they start their American Tour by June.
